We loved everything about the Alchymist. We had original booked at their sister hotel but because we were travelling in a group of four there wasn't enough room so the upgrade us to this hotel. Absolutely loved this hotel. Didn't know it was a renovated convent. Very close, but extremely quite location. 3 minutes to the castle and about 5 to the St. Charles Bridge. This is a truly excellent boutique hotel, perfectly positioned close to the Old Town in Prague. We are seasoned travellers as this hotel is one of the best we've stayed in. My wife & I were pleasantly surprised at this small boutique hotel. It is located right in the middle of Prague's Old Town and close to Charles Bridge. All major attractions are within an easy walk (even for a pair of middle aged people). There are great restaurants right on the doorstep or again an easy walk to the square. Shopping is great!

The staff made Aurus. The girl on reception while we were there (Marina I think, 10th to 12th May) was absolutely brilliant. She was so helpful and seemed happy to help. It was a pleasure to deal with her. She deserves a big bonus as we'd recommend Aurus based on her welcoming and helpful nature! :) There was a little cleaning lady also who seemed very happy and nice.

Staff welcomed us at 1:20am after late flight and helped us settle in with warm drinks and extra blankets.
We also had a super room for the 4 of us in eaves.
Location was also great, just next to Charles Bridge, but still quiet.
