  Great stuff, safe parking, no elevator and bit a far from city center… But the food and beer is so cheap and good that I can’t image my trip back to Prague without this hotel! Sure, the climb up - We liked the location of the hotel - just below the Castle. It looks like an old building but nicely renovated. Cosy and romantic, with a lot of wooden and "golden" details. The breakfast room has a beautiful view to the Old town. The reception staff was friendly and helpful. Comfortable bed, kettle and tea/coffee in the room...We would be happy to stay at Golden Star again.

  Loved that it was not right in the city center but very close. Walkable distance so we took advantage of that. Very close to the metro stations as well when didnt feel like walking. Good restaurants and pubs around that are not filled with tourists. We were the only tourists in most pubs and great Czech food unless meat and bread aren't your thing... hva folk sier » .   The hotel had a lovely tranquil feel to it. The room with ensuite bathroom was lovely. The staff were really friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. - Rooms are clean and unlikely to many other hotels - equipped with hair dryers. Does not matter for me but for my wife - it does.
