  This was a great hotel. Very modern with good facilities and friendly, helpful staff. The room we had was very clean, in fact the whole hotel was spotless, and a good size with great shower room and good size balcony with table and 2 chairs. The bed was very comfortable. The facilities in the hotel were also very good. In the case of the experience at the hotel we were not let down. Staff were excellent, always helpful and friendly. Facilities were great; wonderful outdoor pool with towels provided and poolside service . Excellent breakfasts individually made if required.   The friendly, professional reception staff we upgraded to room with small balcony, loved the flowers and sea breezes, privacy to sit, chat and paint. Room was spacious, bathroom too, well maintained.   Firstly, we never write any comments about the hotels on here as none have justified the action. Until now. Palace suites is truly a hidden gem in Split. From the moment we arrived (earlier than the required check in time) Zeljka made us feel so welcomed. I wanted to be in Diocletian Palace so I knew not to expect a big chain style hotel. This boutique property was delightful- the staff went out of their way to be helpful, my suite was beautiful-by far the largest Suite I have stayed in during my European travels.
