The people of Casa Del Ritmo and Playa Del Ritmo rock! I have stayed in many hostels in Asia, Africa and South Amerca and must say they are the most friendly and helpful of all! They treat you really as a friend / family and with ever question you have they will help! For meeting other backpackers it is an great hostel as well. The new hostel at the beach is wonderful, I stayed in the one in Santa Marta (Rodadero) but we went many times to drink some beers and cocktails and have a barbeque at t.
alle vurderinger » The owners are very friendly, helpful, welcoming and funny. The hostel itself has really good facilities (kitchen to use, guests fridge, nice rooms, a hang out area...) and there is a supermarket close by. Music is playing the hole day - it's casa del ritmo - so it's more for party than for relaxing (just to mention). But if you are out for that it's perfect, to meet people, have fun and share your stories with Yvonne and Gina... they are soooo nice! When we stayed there they even organized a B. We stayed in a private room with bathroom for a few nights before doing Ciudad Perdida trek, and one night after we returned. The staff are all super friendly and helpful. They make you feel so welcome and at home, they booked our bus to Cartagena and also helped us organise the Ciudad Perdida trek. If you are looking to stay right in Santa Marta, this hostel is in the next town over - only $1,200 by bus which takes about 10 minutes to Santa Marta town- This wasn't a problem for us but it coul. Well the people that run the hostel have the right formula in that the place is comfortable, they survive great food, the beach is walking distance away and most importantly the people that work and run the place are absolutely wonderful and our passionate about the place. Thank you so much Yvonne for making me feel comfortable and like it was my home I hope the hostel continues to be a success. Karolina. it was a great place to stay, if you are in rodadero for the night it is easy to get to and a comfortable, friendly and clean house, well taking care of and the staff is friendly, free spireted but veary pleasant. Acomodating to my vegetarian needs with a smile and a great attitude, drinks were awesome and the place has awesome decoration...their best interest is that you feel at home. And you do!. I've been to 20 countries, and this is the most comfortable hostel I've been to. The staff (Camilo, Gina, Ivonne) all made my stay very comfortable. Santa Marta is such a great place to spend a few days and at Casa del Ritmo i spent an unforgettable couple of days. I also made a lot of new friends at this hostel that i want to meet again in this lifetime. Great atmosphere and such friendly staff. Beds were comfy and all facilities kept clean. Bar and food well-priced for backpackers. One of the best hostels I've been to in a long time!. This is a really cool hostel. Nice design. Nice atmosphere. Music always playing, but not too loud. Nice food, great staff! Right on the nicest beaches. The staff was great, nice place to meet people, beautiful and cozy! The double room was simple, but good. Good social areas. Everything. The only "negative" thing - sometimes the music was too loud - if you want to sleep earlyer (before midnight) and not hanging out... but most of the time you will be outside, so it doesn't matter that much. The fact that I liked the place too much that I didn't want to leave. it wasn't close to the beach, a little house at the end of a block that is not so great looking, isolated. The shower curtain had a hole in it and was promptly changed without me even asking them to change it. Nothing more to say that could be considered "negative". Lockers would be useful in the rooms to store your stuff. No complaints. Nothing. Stay here. Excellent. The order and the cleaning of all the things in the room and the bathroom. Shower. The comfort of the rooms The 3-people room we had booked was actually a 2-people one... So we moved to an empty dormitory (fortunately!). The beds are not that comfortable and the dormitory was not that clean. We were in a 3-bed dorm and was very very hot… Not so Clean!.
