Really enjoyed the stay. Small hotel compared to the chains, which is what I prefer. The staff was very nice. Relatively safe neighborhood close to many shops and restaurants. Concerning an earlier review, it was pretty quite when I was there which included Friday, Saturday, and Sunday night. El Poblado is definitely one place worth to stay in Medellin. Hotel located not on the noisy Calle 10, but quite close to. Friendly staff, good clean and spacious rooms, lovely terrace under palm trees, and really great location!.

Free water, coffee, tea 24 hours. Nice rooms, even if they are pretty small. Location is great in El Poblado, close to zona rosa. Front desk is very helpful. Breakfast buffet is very nice (was included in my rate - good value!). The hotel is everything it purports to be: quiet, clean, great staff, nice breakfast, great location (for some people's tastes -- see other comments). It's a good place. Crisp clean sheets, excellent location, no-nonsense place. I will come here again, because best price for a real hotel in Poblado. Another strange thing which maybe only I noted-their pillows is quite specific and making "rubber" sound-I did not understand, might be they filled with air?? Never would choose such for my home, but it might be great option for allergic people I guess. Our problems with the hotel were two fold - The room was small and had virtually no closet space. The bigger was that we didn't like the "nice" upscale commercial location. It felt too much like what we were trying to get away from. We moved to a hotel around Estadio which was a totally latino area - much more lively and with a local feel. Shower did not keep same temp, seemed to fluctuate. They added the vat tax to my hotel bill. It is my understanding that they are supposed to refund the vat once you show your passport. The hotel itself is on the smaller side (the lounge and breakfast area are rather small, but we weren't looking to spend a lot of time hanging out in a hotel lobby so it wasn't a problem). Furniture little bit tired. Prise is should be lower. nothing. Nothing. the bathroom; need some drawer to place clothes. The lighting in the room was too harsh - some bedside lamps would be amazing. The way they didn't include pricing for taxes , and they charge extra for visitors which I think is wrong , you are subject to being " nickel and dimed ".
