Very short walk to Tourist Buses to terracotta warrior site and Hushan. Just walk towards rail station, cross under city wall then bear right and you will see the good and inexpensive tourist buses. The streets around are little hectic but you will therefore appreciate more the tranquility within the nice hotel. Breakfast is good catering for both western and oriental tastes. Unlike some 5 star hotels, you don't get over-serviced. The service is just right. We had a wonderful stay and can highl.

Its located next to the train station and next to the airport shuttle bus, so very convenient. The area around the hotel however is crowded and somewhat seedy. The city wall is nearby and the best attraction. Very professional approach of the staff, very helpful. Rooms spacious and greatly decorated, comfortable and clean. The staff were unprofessional, rude and indifferent especially the reception staff. Housekeeping knocked on the door early morning as they wanted to clean the room. Pity, as the hotel was so nice. Breakfast could be cheaper. The location is a little bit crappy if you walk to the right side of the hotel. Always go left. Only 2 TV channels in English (no Spanish, French, Italian or Portuguese channels) and about 50 in chinese. Beds were horribly hard (Chinese beds, not international standards) Despite what the hotel description says there are no king/queen/double beds. Only Twin rooms... Clueless staff (typical in China) knows the bare minimum about common tourist attraction: no you don't *Have to* go to the South Gate to get on the city wall (which is quite far)... You can rent bikes at the North gate which is much closer and also get on the wall right next to the hotel at the Train station. Nothing at all. The shower was very aggravating because water leaked through the door which soaked the bath mat and the entire bathroom floor and secondly, the water temperature was not consistent - it would be freezing and then burning. Very difficult to take a comfortable shower. air condition is bad that you may wake up at night due to high room temp. Nothing. No air conditioning for first 24 hours. Four different staff members approached before problem corrected. I do appreciate the language problems. Staff didn't speak English. Well, there isn't a hotel in China that is famous to have the staff fluent in English, but only the front desk reception staff was barely able to understand what I was saying. That we had to leave :-(. Beeakfast was just OK. Dinner buffet, noise from street. The staff were abysmal, the room was the most bizarre layout known to man with a TV on the wall almost in the hallway so you couldn't watch it even if you wanted to. The bathroom was a large 'wet room' and indeed was very wet by the end! We ordered room service as we arrived very late - margarita pizza - just awful.... I recommend going hungry instead! It's a long way from the rest of the action -bars and restaurants by the south gate and the walk there isn't great- get a taxi. Staff does note speak english. Worse hotel ever! All restaurant were always closed and the "in room dining" were not available because staff could not speak english and understand our orders! Never coming back again in this hotel. The atmospere in the hotel was awful. Staff seemed to have fear. Understandable if they have to pay for a broken glass or anything else. They wanted to charge us for a broken glass in the room. There is a list of every item in the room, including bin, with prices when broken. Never seen before. Horrible atmosphere.
