The place is beautiful - design of the hostel, especially the public area, is so comfortable and friendly. I only stayed for one night but spent all my time here (an evening and a day).
The location is superb. Located in the centre of the city - actually my best part of the city - it is in a quiet lane where the modern city noise could not disturb you. The lane is one of those older streets in Shanghai. It gives you a lot of taste of the city.

The whole layout of this place is amazing. I travel a lot and always
looking for places that feel like home and this is definitely one of
them. There are wooden furnitures everywhere, airy windows, cozy fish
pools with bamboo and the private room I was in was comfy. It's
quiet, people here seem respectful and chill which is lovely. I will
come back again.
The staff was excellent. We had many exceptional questions and they were extremly helpful. They also helped us to ship our bicycle to Hong Kong. The atmosphere is also very nice.

Really enjoy this hostel.
The beds are old and makes noises while I was sleeping. The lamb by my bed wasn't working. Needs a little maintenance.
There is no soap in the room, a small slide of it would be nice. Toilet
paper is very limited, hot water ran out at 4am, and it's a tap of
15 minutes of walk to the subway. Nothing much is around, so if you need
things it's better to bring everything ahead of time.
The Hostel is quite big. A little bit too big for us. We prefer the more familiar hostel. The room was nice but not very spacious for 6 people.
Internet very slow, but maybe this is something you have to deal with everywhere in china.
No elevator, but it's only 4 floors.
Kind of "cold" place. People don't talk to each other.
A small mouse visit the room because we left the window open.
