Located in Dajing Lane, the centre of Song Dynasty, Ho Fang International Youth Hostel is a traditional Chinese restored building with grey stone walls and black tiles of rooftop. It offers both dormitory and private rooms with free WiFi and an international collection of books. Fully air-conditioned, rooms come with either shared or private bathrooms. Private rooms have a flat-screen TV and an electric kettle. Slippers, towels and cleaning beddings are featured. Ho Fang International Youth Hostel is a 15-minute walk from Ding'an Road Subway Station, 1.5 km from the scenic West Lake and 2 km from Hangzhou Railway Station. It is a 10-minute walk from Intime Shopping Mall. Bicycle rentals are available at an extra charge. Barbecue facilities, bike rental, daytime luggage storage and laundry services are provided by the hostel. There are a Chinese restaurant and a Western restaurant at the property. Guests may also spend some time at the cafe and bar area.

Very nice hostel!!! Good english-speaking stuff, nice cozy room(we took room with 2 floors), hostel in a pedestrian area, in the most beautiful area in the town. Close to the lake and main train station(we came by walk). In the Smile cafe which in the next door from hostel all the guests have 20% discount. Really, strongly recommend!. Très bonne localisation, personnel accueillant et parlant anglais. Very pleasant place to stay in Hangzhou. Good location, near the lake and He Fang street. Staff very friendly and speak English! Perfect place for globetrotter ;).
alle vurderinger » The rooms where extra clean, the cafeteria and food had very very good prices as well as the drinks, the quality of breakfast, the rooms where very good and the location even better. We even stayed longer than we expected. The staff was super helpful very nice. The room was clean and comfortable and the shower had excellent water pressure. The location is also right in the middle or all the tourist sites so everything is easy to get to. So nice hostel and staff! i've been there alone for 2 nights and i loved the place! i asked many things and help to the staff that was so kind with me and all the facilities are simple but nice and very stylish. Friendly, peacefull, relaxing. Rooms are good to sleep and without any bad smell. Cheap food, beautifull mountain, citybike rent and tourist square are just several or few minuts far. Suitable for everyone. The staff is good. If you are tired with chinese cuisine you can order a little bit overpriced europeane cuisine in a bar in the hotel. You can get the idea how chinese people leaved before in Hangzhou. I have stayed in Hofang Hostel acouple of times, the Loft room is always excellent.Toilets are always clean and nice, the tiny singles rooms are also ok, not if you have a,lot of luggage. The staff were amazingly friendly!! And the restaurant next door offered really delicious food - atmosphere was cozy and very hospitable. Would definitely recommend to all my friends!. Staff have been really nice and helpful when you need local help, they come up with solutions and advises very quickly. Everything is superb. Nearby the attraction as it is located in the pedestrian street. No entry for taxi hence people with big luggage need to take note on it. Friendly staff, great location and very pleasant common areas. The room is basic, but you can only expect so much from a youth hostel. Clean room and bathroom, free Wifi (at least my room can get the signal), lots of food and shopping around the hostels. the room was new and clean. the location perfect to visit tourist places and near to places to eat. Its pretty clean, staffs are also friendly.Located in a nice area which close to west lake. Room is small but clean and comfortabe, and enough for one. My room was satisfying for a one-night stay, and clean, even though I had expected it to be really small. The location was great, right in the old city center near shops and restaurants and just 15 min walk from the West lake. There's a washing machine + dryer!. Friendly people. Well location. A bit pricy but that's might just be Hangzhou. Had a nice stay in overall. Recommended. Affordable to backpackers. Close to the walking street where there are plenty of choices for food. Most of the staff were nice and helpful. In the room not enough light for reading. But it was a problem in China in general :(. There is no wifi in the room only in the main reception/lounge area and the cafe. Scams may sleep at same room with you O,o. The room was the tiniest room I've ever stayed. That is not that bad (and the price is lower) but you need to know that 8m room is very small :). If you want to get up early, check out or else, the shifu takes some time to get up and open the locked door. location-wise, it is not super-close to west lake and somewhat troublesome to get to the train station. Contrary to what the site says, International credit cards couldn't be used, at least when we visited, and Wifi is only available in the common room downstairs. Location is a bit hard to get to, taxi drivers didnt know the address. Just say take you to Gu Lou (drum tower), its 5 minutes walk from there. the bathoom does not smell very well , but it was just because the mood of the surrounding, not because of cleanless. No. The staff wasn't rude, but I fet I bothered them every time I asked something. There's no real breakfast set at the adjoining coffee shop, and I ended spending more than on a dinner for just fruits & coffee. Quite expensive... No wifi in the rooms, only in the lobby. Some of the staff didn't speak any English. We had a very bad experience at the next door 'Shine' cafe. The food and drinks are expensive and the staff incredibly rude. I wouldn't recommend anyone to go there. humid smell in the room. Personally, I'd prefer a place closer to the West Lake. The hostel is about 20 minutes walk from the lake. The fact that it is close to most of the business wouldn't compensate the disadvantage - within 10 minutes walk to the lake there are lots of choices out there. I stayed in one of the lofted rooms. It is extremely DAMP in the room. The smell in the room wasn't pleasant.
