Your host Ling runs a little gem here, right outside of the west gate of Dali old town, up the hill in a quiet little street. She speaks fluent English, is extremely helpful and was lovely with the kids (our 4 year old daughter was still waving goodbye to Ling when our plane left off from Chengdu a week later). The rooms around the traditional courtyard are spotless clean and very spacious with comfy beds and 24 hours of hot water. Wifi is available across the building and there is a small bar .
alle vurderinger » We booked this at the last minute as we did not like our original hotel.Lin the owner spoke wonderful English and made us feel so welcomed! She helped us everyday with what to do,wrote out any questions we had in Chinese for us to get around better,her charm and patience was the highlight of our stay! The place is outside the downtown area by a 10 minute walk but it was so easy to get arong then come home and have restful nights, We stayed on the 3rd floor and had great access to the patio wher. Ling was awesome during our stay. She helped us throughout our trip and was very concern about our transportation back to kunming due to the heavy snow. The taxi driver was very kind to us and brought us whereever we wanted to go. Also, he made sure that we know how to get around at our destination before leaving. We adore Ling's dog, Dali, which is a Golden Retriever. Such a lovely dog to play with. Basically, the whole trip was a very memorable one for us. It felt like our own home. Comfortable well appointed rooms. Great free internet. Incredibly friendly and helpful staff who really go out of their way to help - tours, buses, calling the hotel in the next town to arrange pick-up from the bus station: everything. Perfect English spoken. Ideal location Amazing breakfast (western or Chinese). Great value including competetively priced bar. The best all round guest house I have stayed at in ten months traveling. The staffs are very helpful. They helped us to buy the train and bus tickets which were quite hard to be bought. They even fetched us to the bus station and waited with us until the bus arrived. The rooms are excellent and the owner is very caring of our needs. We feel at home staying at the hotel. A very warm place. Will definitely return to this hotel the next time we are in Dali. The proprietor was extremely helpful in helping us organize our stay, and in getting us professional medical assistance. She even took me to see a doctor at the hospital and translated for me. Our room was large, very clean and well maintained. All the staff were very friendly, spoke very good English, and went out of their way to be helpful. Great staff with pretty good English. All staff very willing to help. Ten minute easy stroll to the West Gate but off the main drag so very quiet and no traffic noise. Good sized rooms. We stayed seven days. Free pickup to or from the train or bus. Their tour prices are competitive and their driver is safe. Wonderful hotel, I like everything there. It is close to every ancient Chinese buildings such a Three Pagodas, Old Town, etc.. The manager and staff are very attentive and will help in any situation, will also help to book a bus ticket, book a tour or rent a bike. Room is big and clean. Very satisfied with the service of the hotel. We had to shorten our stay in hotel, and was accepted. Mrs. Wang gave us very helpful tips for visiting the most impotant sites within our tight time frame. She speaks perfect English, and serves very original English breakfast. Lin was an excellent host. The dog (Hello) and puppy (Dali) provided endless entertainment for the kids while the hotel showed what attention to detail can do. A glass screen in the shower would make all the difference, but a very enjoyable stay over all. Will go again. The owner was really nice and so helpful. She was already ready to help and was interesting to talk to. The place is clean and the breakfasts are great. Also if you are coming from Lijiang then it's really easy to find as it's near where the bus stops. Excellent service. The staff really took care of us in order to enjoy the visit to Dali. Good breakfast, the best coffe in China(?). Very clean. The manager in reception spoke excellent English, others tried their best. The dog Dali was very nice. we had a great time in Dali Mountain Delight. Madame Ling was very friendly and she helped us with everything. She arranged taxi's and tourist trips. Very helpful proprietor who was fluent in English, knowledgable and offered useful advice about things to do and see, and who was able to provide and arrange transport at very good rates. The tariff was also very moderate indeed. Great hotel, great and very helpful staff. The hotel is in a great location 15 mins walk to the center of old town via the west gate. Three pagodas are just up the road. Great value for money pick for all standards of traveler. Although the hotel is about five minutes away from the west gate of the old town, it does take about fifteen minutes to walk to where the action is in the old town. This was not however a serious problem for us. Little bit of pounding on the bathroom floor like most Chinese bathrooms, and easily fixed with the squeezer thing provided. Water splash from the shower on the floor in WC. Nothing at all. Could really use a fan in the room as when we stayed stayed the nights were very warm. Nothing. None. The bathroom is clean but there is no heating in the unit so it gets very cold. Water from the shower gets everywhere. The location is about a 6 minute walk to old town Dali. it would be perfect if there's an elevator. nothing. Cold rooms and restaurant. Nothing. Dont agree with certain review here on the pick up from train station which is FOC which is chargeable RMB40 per trip. We were (2adults + 3 children) told to pay for another room although the room is huge enough to accommodate all of us and we just stayed for one night. furthermore, we checked in late....
