  Hotel staff were so helpful and friendly. The hotel is in a Hutong away from the traffic and amongst the local population so you see more of the 'real' China. - A 5 star service for a very good price hotel.   We arrived in Beijing at 1am in the morning but due to difficulties with the taxi driver finding the street this hotel was on we didn't actually check in until 2.30am. The neon/lighted sign outside the hotel does not read "Beijing Jinxiu Courtyard Hotel" in the english written section however the chinese section does have that name so there was a ... hva folk sier » bit of confusion as to whether we were at the right place but luckily some locals helped us out. The staff don't speak a great deal of english though - the station is very near to railway station. it's convinent. beautiful yard. special building style. classical.

  The location is excellent, close to Forbidden City .Tiananmen Square and short walk go to a beautiful Jingshan park. Close to the Beihai Park and bar street. Not a big hotel but practically characteristic, fresh supply of towels and beddings everyday. For the price of the hotel I think this is a value.   Very comfortable and clean, traditional chinese gardens and furnishings. Perfectly situated in the hutongs ( what a welcome difference to the bland upmarket chain hotels in the centre) . Visiting on foot is easy, taxis close to hand , atmospheric area .   The location was excellent. In the middle of the Hutong. We stayed in a traditional room which was very spacious. We also rented bicycles at the hotel, which made it very easy to visit the sights in Beijing. The bicycle was a good idea. We were dropped almost in the hall of the hotel. Also we booked a Great Wall - Very nice hotel with traditional Chinese decor! The best place and part of the city to stay to get a feeling of Chinese culture. Everyone speaks English (thank god)! In a very nice touristy area in the oldest hutong of beijing "Ju er" (next to the busiest and must see Hutong Nanluoguxiang) need to take bus to nearest metro station.
