  Location and service was very good. Walking distance to the Metro, restaurants and shops. Everyone was very nice to us with security at the front desk being always helpful - Great area in Santiago - and nice apartments with good balconies. Close to good shopping possibilities and a good walk into town. Easy to get to the metro as well.

  All of the staff were courteous, helpful and solicitous. Breakfast was outstanding. Location was nice, near metro stop and easy walking distance of many fine restaurants, coffee shops and bars. Only one block off of major avenue in Santiago central downtown area. The terrace in the back was a nice oasis of quite and cool ambience in the afternoon.... hva folk sier » The staff was very accomodating and allowed me to keep our rental car parked at hotel for 5 hours after we checked out because our flight was in the - The room were very cosy and the staff are friendly, ready to help, and they speak english and a little portuguese. It is located only one block from the metro station in a nice area. Very good for those who, like me, suffer from allergic rhinitis: no carpets on the floor! :)

  The staff, mostly young, smiling, helpful Chilenas (women) could not have been more welcoming...The beds were comfortable and new, the bed linens of good quality...excellent location in a peaceful residential neighborhood in the heart of Santiago, a 10-15 minute walk from two Metro stations... There is a Lider grocery store a block away and severa... hva folk sier » l restaurants on surrounding blocks...each room has its own gas or electric heater for the winter (when I was there), and a fan for the summer - Has a distinctive identity and stands out, in a quiet, safe and lovely neighborhood. Can walk to most of the places of interest and spots in town, if one has the aptitude. Almenas is a nice cosy home/hostel, comfortable place to sleep in and a clean complete private bath (have to opt for it though). The staff is professional and courteous. And yes, Wi-fi is available and works very well. Breakfast was simple but sufficient as one would eat at home.
