Really really like this hotel. We had a great time playing in victoria. Hope this hotel can become bigger and bigger:)
Staff was friendly and helpful. Location is great for walking around downtown Victoria. Will stay again.
I just lie the hotel a friendly place.
I have stayed many times at the Royal Scot......the reasons being all excellent.
We always stay at the Royal Scot when we visit Victoria. It is a treat. The drop off and pick up service they offer when going out in the evening is an added plus.
Paying for parking.
Excellent facility. Well appointed room, very clean and nice amenities.
Efficiency - quick check in.out. Clean room -big room - you don't get the spacious rooms so much these days. I had a separate hallway with door between bed room and the kitchenette/bathroom. Wow
the early morning wake up chatter - I was in 239, right above the entrance. Possibly employees leaving/coming to work around 6:15am. Two men - one with an accent to remind me that I was staying at the Royal SCOT hotel.
Good amount of space Good position to city
Bit dated
This was our second stay at this hotel, location is great , very quiet ,good parking , the room was large with fridge ,toaster, dishes etc, even dish washing liquid . Very good value and comfortable .
Wonderful staff.
Too expensive for a family with kids, considering the older decor and furnature.
Located near ferries. Less expensive. Larger plastic bear. Nice robes.
Thin toilet paper. Older building. Reasonable, but not as good as the 9.1 rating we read.
Locations was great, close to the main attractions. Grocery store few blocks down the road. The room with kitchen was a great option.
The sofa bed was not very comfortable
The food in Jonathan's was excellent and the piped music wasn't too loud! The staff were helpful, especially at the reception desk
Just an excellent hotel, friendly staff, good location. Got a free upgrade to a suite which is always nice!
The Royal Scot is centrally located so that you can walk most everywhere in Victoria. It is quiet, clean, well furnished and has a charming quality about it. The staff are friendly and accomodating (example: first night the pillows were not great so on second night they brought us feather ones) We have stayed at the Royal Scot several times and have enjoyed it every time.
The hotel charges abit too much for parking (15.00) I would say that 5.00 to 8.00 would be more fair.
The Hotel was in an ideal location to see Victoria. Cleanliness, friendly staff and a very comfortable room made this hotel a perfect choice.
Perfect location to visit Victoria. staff were very helpful, good restaurant, great value for the price. Nice to see some greenery around the building.
Would have chosen a larger room but not a serious issue.
Staff was amazing! Extremely pleased with the hotel overall. We had booked a regular guestroom but were very surprised and happy to be upgraded to a luxury one-bedroom suite at no additional charge!
The staff was very friendly and helpful.
At approximately 5:30 AM, a large truck arrived in the parking lot directly below our room and proceeded to spray the trees adjacent to the parking lot. This was extremely noisy and we were wondering why it had to be done at that unreasonalbe hour.
The room was designed in such away as to feel like a suite. It felt spacious and airy.
can't think of a thing.
Great hotel within walking distance to Victoria Inner Harbor. Friendly staff, nice, comfortable rooms.
Additional $15 per night for parking on site is expensive, given the price of the rooms. There are more reasonable parking options on the street or nearby; however, because we have someone traveling with us that has mobility issues, we didn't have a choice. Also, rooms do not have air conditioning. It was okay since we had cooler weather.
Excellent location. Just a block away from harbour and downtown Victoria but on a quiet side street. Good size, comfortable and quiet rooms. Good value for a room with kitchen and separate bedroom in such a great location (very comfy sofa bed - not often the case!). Good pool and leisure facilities. Would definitely recommend for families visiting Victoria.
Very nice hotel with a kitchenette. And the room is bigger than my imagination.
Great location, staff was lovely and the room was very comfortable.
Location
The kilted bear at the main entrance is naff. Coming from Scotland we nearly did not book in when we saw it on the Internet. In real life it looked worse.
Very good location. Vey nice hotel and friendly staff
The location is right at the center of Victoria tourist attraction yet the hotel has excellent landscaping and is tranquil. The staffs are friendly and helpful. The room is clean and comfortable.
None
Superb location. Reasonable rates. Kitchenette was fully equipped
A little "dated", but so's my home! Paying for parking.
Staff incredibly helpful, great location, comfortable large suites.
The hotel is located in the center but in a very quiete and gloomy place. The suite was vell decorated and got every thing you need to feel like at home. We loved the hotel and recommend staying there!!
Great large suite rooms. Terrific location in Victoria and excellent parking
Nothing

Location and suite style accommodation
(Initially) the smell - it smelled 'old'
excellent staff, nice location, good facility.
Restaurant a little overpriced.
everything
wifi connection was on and off
The hotel is very comfortable. The staff are fantastic - we needed some help with our Wifi connection and got it immediately. Restaurant is most enjoyable and reasonable
Hotel facilities were very good, with swimming pool/hot tub in basement. Rooms were a good size and the Restaurant was good. Location is very good, being on the block next to the Legislative Assembly building, next to the Inner Harbour. Staff friendly.
No air-conditioning in room (fan only) which could be an issue in warmer weather. Car parking charged at $15 per night, but surface car park at end of Quebec street is only $6.50 for 24 hours.
Location and amnesties
No air conditioning
the hotel, restaurant, proximty to harbour , general city convenience
We enjoy our stay with the little kitchen so we can prepare simple foods...more relaxing than eating out. I am Celiac and follow a strict gluten free diet. Nice to have to two rooms to spread out and we can choose two different programs to watch on TV. The linens are also high quality. The whole place just feels luxury.
The rooms can be quite stuffy and hot when it warms up. The fan is appreciated but one for each room would be great. We have stayed in hotel accommodation that have the newer air conditioners that vent through a window .. work great. I have seen them for under $300 and could be on request no extra charge, even come with slat to install in window.
Loved the free shuttle. It was indispensable for our group of carless sailors. Also liked the games room and jigsaws! Made me feel at home.
Wonderful complimentary upgrade to a lovely top floor corner suite for our anniversary.
bed a little hard
The location is perfect - sea, restaurants, excellent staff, very clean and comfortable.
The room was clean and very comfortable. The location was superb just off the main street, very close to the waterfront and within walking distance from all the attractions. Can thoroughly reccommend the the tour of the parliment building
the only thing i did not like was that our room was over the front door of the hotel and the coming and goings early in the morning could be disturbing, but if i was that bothered i could have asked to change rooms and i am sure the hotel would have complied
Location, parking, amenities, size of rooms
bathrooms small
quiet, friendly, helpful employees
rocking toilet in room 126
Excellent location (walking distance to our destinations)
