The hotel is charming. The staff are among the nicest, most helpful and
accommodating I've found in all my travelling. The room and bathroom
were spacious and clean, the bed could have slept 4 people! The location
of the hotel was great for tourists, shopping (although touristy
shopping mostly) and taxis were abundant and within a 1 minute walk.
Good restaurants were plentiful within walking distance as well.

Staff was very helpful with giving suggestions for the activities in the city and spoke good English. Rooms are very nice and neat. Breakfast was excellent! One of the best we had in Brazil. The hotel is a wonderful example of a boutique hotel. The superior room has wonderful old wooden floors, and is dressed in a plush colonial fashion. The rest of the hotel is modern and clean but still hold the feel of intamcy of a grand house. The staff are polite and work hard to and with pride to make you feel welcome. -

Nice location, nice view from the room. Great personal,, actually the European owners are so welcoming that you forget every negative detail about the city or your trip. They give the best advices, arrange airport transfer and nice chatting in many languages which you may not find in elsewhere in Salvador. They try to find solution for all special needs.

The hotel is located very close to the main bus station (Rodoviaria) in Salvador and a big shopping mall. Therefore, the location is great if you need to connect to a bus. Otherwise, the area is rather ugly.

Location was excellent, in the heart of Pelhourhino. Even though accommodation reflected the historic nature of the buildings and area (basic and old fashioned) it added to the feel of being in an historic, authentic location.
We had a room which adjoined a communal terrace with fantastic sea views and ideal for enjoying a late night drink.
