Its location is very good for the best beach and safety in Rio area. The staff is so nice that you don't have to worry about anything though they cannot speak good English. My special thanks give to the staff who found and returned the scarf my wife forgot in the restaurant. Also the food is unique and delicious. will use it again. -

Our stay at the Ipanema Plaza was excellent. When we arrived tired (without luggage, lost by the airline) we were offered a room already at 0600 although we hadn't expected to check-in until 1400. The hotel has been refurbished, is clean, comfortable and the staff and breakfast are great. It is close to shopping, restaurants and close to the beach. Most of the staff speak English. We had a spacious family suite with a terrace and beach view. Also, the a/c unit was quiet and the shower was good too. -
Hotel staff very attentative and helpful. Probably the best value for
money in the area. Breakfast simple but sufficient. Same as the rooms.
Although I stayed in a room with street view, there is no noise.
Definitely a good option for those who want good location and good
service without being ripped off.

The hotel front desk & concierge taff were excellent, very friendly, and provided excellent information/touring suggestions. Additionally there was always someone on duty who spoke very good English! Location on Impenama Beach was perfect although it has less "nightlife" than the popular Cococabana Beach. Impanema Beach is a much prettier beach & we were never concerned about safety.

Everything in the hotel was superb. Of course it is a bit expensive, but you are really treated like you "own the place".
The staff is just perfect. The hotel is basically a beautiful old house, with a brazilian decoration of its finest taste, and a breathtaking view of the city. Rooms are clean and classy. Just remarkable. We highly recommend it

From the second we walked through the door our experience was amazing.
The staff were so helpful and checked us in early, we had purchased a
room with executive level access (well worth it as there is an open bar
and lots of snacks/food available during the day free of charge!)

request' of the booking form that the reason of the trip was for a
special birthday. In our room we found a birthday cake and a bottle of
champagne courtesy of the hotel which was a very nice gesture. Spacious
