The hotel is about 100 m from the main street of the city and from there another 100 m to the main beach and the turtle park. It also offered free parking to us. The hotel is in a very safe area (generally Praia do Forte is safe) and someone can walk freely at any day or night time.

It was an excellent pousada, fantastic room with main bedroom and attached second bedroom for a family with three small children, beautiful food and a great pool. Close to the beach (not right on it, but a walk away with toddlers) and close to the turtle sanctuary which was a big hit with the children. We booked one of the larger rooms which turned out to be a suite with a lovely balcony overlooking the beach. Very nicely decorated - simple and rustic but very well kept. Air con in the bedroom was super quiet. Staff were extremely warm and helpful even if they spoke limited English. Breakfast buffet was extensive and delicious.
