The hotel has been refurbished, is clean, comfortable and the staff and breakfast are great. It is close to shopping, restaurants and close to the beach. Most of the staff speak English. We had a spacious family suite with a terrace and beach view. Also, the a/c unit was quiet and the shower was good too. -
Hotel staff very attentative and helpful. Probably the best value for
money in the area. Breakfast simple but sufficient. Same as the rooms.
Although I stayed in a room with street view, there is no noise.
Definitely a good option for those who want good location and good
service without being ripped off.

The hotel front desk & concierge taff were excellent, very friendly, and provided excellent information/touring suggestions. Additionally there was always someone on duty who spoke very good English! Location on Impenama Beach was perfect although it has less "nightlife" than the popular Cococabana Beach. Impanema Beach is a much prettier beach & we were never concerned about safety.

We stayed at the sol Ipanema for 3 nights at the beginning of March. We chose a deluxe sea view room and it didn't disappoint. We were on the 11th floor and had fabulous views in both directions. Incredible location..very clean and nice rooms. Though I had to wait about an hour to check in but the front desk infact particularly Mr. Leonardo was kind enough to check me into a spacious sea view room though I had a mountain view booking. The lobby is quite comfortable and they serve you very well and too be true very well priced. The roof top bar & pool again are a joy giving a breathtaking view of the beach all around. To sum up a great place to stay and I would return soon..

We couldn't fault our stay here. The rooms were lovely and they even upgraded us from a standard to a superior suite. The roof top pool was a little oasis in the middle of rio and had fantastic views over the ocean. Staff and breakfast were great. The location was perfect for anyone wishing to stay at copacobana- right behind the copacobana palace (nicest hotel in rio) but for 1/2 the price. Highly recommend.
