  Great location - 5 minutes walk to Copacabana beach. It is located in a safe area, on a main street. The reception team is very helpful and informative! Room is clean, tidy and spacious. There is a wide variety of food at breakfast. As for dinner, you can either have buffet or ala carte. Again, there is very good selection of food.   Our stay at the Ipanema Plaza was excellent. When we arrived tired (without luggage, lost by the airline) we were offered a room already at 0600 although we hadn't expected to check-in until 1400. Staff at reception was efficient and spoke good english, cleaning was very good and the breakfast was delicious. Our room on the Ipanema Floor was really lovely, nice modern furnishing and fantastic view of the beach. The hotel restaurant is really good and the breakfast was also excellent.
