  The staff were extremely friendly and happy to give me a room with a city view after already allocating our room. The view was magical and the location was central. It was the most comfortable bed I've slept in away from my own bed and the facilities were beautiful....perfect for my romantic getaway... - The reception staff upon arrival were exce... hva folk sier » llent. They made us feel comfortable and welcome. The complimentary drinks at the Metropole were a great idea and we would definitely stay there again. We also liked that the rooms were couple off so that anyone entering the room had to get through two doors.

  We stayed here for two nights and got a special for the room, it had a great room with foxstar, we loved it. The bed was wonderful we hardly got out, room service was although a little on the pricey side AMAZING it's in a great area, close to everything. We're defiantly staying again! - I was a late arrival and pleased to find out the restaurant... hva folk sier » was open till 10pm. Most similar hotels shut the kitchen down at 8. Great quality food presented well. Easy, no fuss breakfast. Will choose to stay at Rydges next time.

  Location of the hotel was excellent. Close by to all shops and restaurants and also walking distance to the ferry terminals and the aquatics centre where they have a turtle hospital. Hotel was amazing, clean, modern and very big rooms.   The apartment was spacious, clean and well equipped. It was in a beautiful location with a balcony overlooking the river. About 10 mins drive to Townsville but if you don't want to drive after a long journey there plenty off restaurants within a short walk . The staff were very helpful, excellent value for money.   I always like to stay somewhere different and this was a great find. Brand new with a real boutique property feel. Very personalised service, and great modern rooms. I travel to TSV often and the hotels there, while OK are all becoming pretty dated so this was just what the city needed.

Meals were Great and always served on time. Nothing was too much trouble.
