The location of he hotel was excellent being across the road from the beach and about 70 metres from restaurants of differing nationalities. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The accommodation was excellent and being at the end of the corridor our kitchen was another room and sufficiently equipped. The view from the balcony (like all the others) had a great view over the Coral sea to Magnetic Island. The rooms are also air conditioned. Decor of the hotel was very good and modern wh.
alle vurderinger » EVERYTHING!!! A great destination, the motel was spotless, staff friendly, it was wonderful. Very highly recommended, will go back. Everything we needed was within walking distance. The view was fantastic, sit on the balcony, well shaded in the heat of the afternoon (with a breeze) and watch jet skiers, sail boarders, sailing boats, the Red Baron, Magnetic Island, local and o/seas shipping and have eagles riding the thermals just in front of you and the convience of the Strand and the beach l. The pool was awesome - it was kept clean and the sun chairs was the icing on the cake! Accommodation was clean, comfortable, easy access. Air conditioning was perfect. En-suite was clean and spacious. Awesome waterfront views - balcony to sit to enjoy. Close to restaurants. Totally recommend this accommodation. Great service as well - no hesitation in help and providing location tourist attractions. The staff were fantastic, very helpful. Even photocopied a bus timetable for us to use!Room was very clean, with excellent appliances for use in kitchenette. Bed was really comfortable. View was sensational. Motel was situated close to eateries, beaches, ferries, buses, shopping, and parks. Within walking distance of everything we needed for an excellent holiday. Will definitely be back. The Strand is a beautiful area to walk along and a variety of great eating places with in walking distance of Aquarius on the Beach. Arriving at night we got a grand surprise to wake up and see Magnetic Island outside our window!. Excellent view of the ocean and Magnetic Island from the balcony. Had room 1312 which had a small kitchen with stove,large fridge, microwave. 2 minutes walk to restaurants. (C.Bar on the beach perfect for breakfast with a view) City centre about 15 minute walk along the promanade. Location and being on level 13 was excellent - fantastic views along the foreshore and over the bay. I lovely spot for an early morning/late afternoon walk, and a great variety of eating places along The Strand. The cost of this room was value for money. I will return!!. The location is ideal, on the strand and walking distance to many attractions if you don't have a car. The room was excellent value for money. Plenty of information in the foyer on what to do and see. The drinks fridge was very convenient, we used it a couple of times!. We enjoyed the view from where we were. Enjoyed the fact we were up the street from a really good choice of places to eat out! We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend in Townsville and the V8's. :-))) Accomodation was very good. How would we go booking again for 2014?. Location was great, nice view from room, close to restaurants and playgrounds. There is alot of work happening around the pool area, so a little bit of noise during the day, however didnt bother us. It will look great once its all finished. Serviced daily, unobtrusive. A view to die for, all amenities required at your doorstep or within 1km. The pool was being renovated at the time but as soon as the balcony door was closed the noise was not an issue. Being so close to the water, great views, balcony to enjoy the sunrise, all facilities like walks along the waterside, BBQ's in the park, swimming, restaurants, water park for kids and it was so quite and relaxing. Wish we had more time to explore Townsville it looked really pretty with some great colonial buildings on the drive through - but only spent one night here on our way to Cairns. I loved the location I loved the casual atmosphere of the hotel, we enjoyed ourselves by the pool with our esky and snacks no bother at all. It was great, we had a great time and would recommend it thouroughly. I enjoyed my stay, the booking in and out proceedure was quick with no hassles. It is so close to restuarants and a good place to feel safe to walk and take the time to smell the roses in our busy lives. The room was spacious and very clean. The Aquarius is very well situated on the Strand and within easy walking distance to restaurants and bars. The staff were friendly and helpful. Our stay at the Aquarias was excellent. Easy to reach location. Nice room. But the staff didn't charge the costs for WiFi, see -. Nothing to dislike. A week wasn't long enough! A month would have been better!!!. Just a little niggle - the internet provider was expensive and it was very slow. No dish drainer to place dishes in after we cooked and washed up.No clothes horse to hang beach towles on to dry overnight. There was no aspect we didn't like. Nothing !. The fixed shower screen could be twice as wide and that would prevent a wet floor after the event. The magnetic catch on the balcony door was weak and a strong gust of wind would dislodge it. Needed a more substantial latch arrangement. Both of these issues are not really a dislike, but improvements I believe. We had a non serviced deal for 7 days, which was fine, however small things like a few spare garbage bags, towels and toilet rolls would have been good. Although they were available on request from the front desk. minor things didn't spoil the trip overall very happy. Parking facilities-lack off. The rooms were a little outdated but they were comfortable and clean. I loved it all. I didn't like being woken up aound midnight by a false alarm fire detector. It was a bit scary and there was an issue with a neighbour who went into the hall and their door slammed shut with their 2 very small children still inside. It was a false alarm thank goodness. The only complaint I have is the car parking space, we had to park our car down 3 blocks in the back street as there was no car parks left. The early morning garbage collection and loud speaker asking if the owner of a car could move it. Needs more parking space. They had construction work going on while we were there so the pool was closed. We tried to book again for next year through you but it says no rooms available all booked out :(. I didn't like that we were not told about the floors and the potential impact it could have on the view. The hotel does not have a bus service which runs to the front door, so please stop advertising it as such, Because the bus service in Townsville is terrible and the drivers ignorant. Nothing. Nothing really but if I was being picky.........No one on the desk in the middle if the night when I was checking out. Maybe because it was a holiday weekend. Nothing we didn't like. Lack of parking. Would like to see some hotplates instead of a microwave as we self cater because of diet needs. Could do with a bike rack/storage at ground level and in-house gym facilities would have been great. (They did offer complementary gym usage however quite a hike to the gym.) Slightly later checkout (10am) would have helped too. A luggage lockup that is a little more secure. Only 'boardroom' available when not in use. WiFi network on the eleventh floor most of the time not available. The curtains in the room did not fit properly, allowing in too much early morning sun. Having to leave. I had some issues first up with an air conditioner remote which were fixed with no fuss by reception. It would be nice to have a better cup of coffee in the morning. Pool was being renovated - were able to use pool further down The Strand but a little too far. Do realise it has to be done at some stage so winter is best time to do it. Photos on website were misleading - no idea how they were taken!. The shower needed fixing as it is completely drooped. I guess this room is already in your upgrade vision but over all we were comfortable. Could not find a space on Friday night to park. Maybe a card swipe system for all guests. Leaving!. No room service because no on site restaruant but not a big issue. Cost of Wi Fi at $5 an hour or $20 a day is horrific and completely outdated. This is the only minus we could say about Aquarius. Overseas and in other parts of Australia Wi Fi now is usually free or minimally charged. Pillows were a bit stiff Neighbours above dragging their furniture around for over 15 minutes at midnight. I could hear them having a bath and walking on the floor above.
