Everything about the Park Royal Darling Harbour was excellent. The location, the venue itself, but most of all the staff. My wife had a medical emergency during our stay and the assistance provided by all the staff we encountered was absolutely "second to none" even though it all unfolded during the middle of the night. We would not think twice about staying there again and whole heartedly recommend Park Royal Darling Harbour to anyone looking for a quality establishment.
alle vurderinger » Location,location,location. For our purpose which was Entertainment Centre concerts ( Carlos Santana, Robert Plant and the Tedeschi Trucks Band at the Enmore theatre it was ideal. Access to all points of Darling Harbour, Fish Markets, Circular Quay, The Rocks, China Town, QVB shopping ,The Apple Shop, ABC Shop, Broadway and the Park Royal all central to it. The Museums well I could go on but I will have to stop. very comfy bed. very lovely soft towels. awesome selection of pillow types. Ashley on reception was extremely helpful with a difficult situation we had that needed quick attention. She was also very personable and relational. She made our situation seem like nothing was too much trouble. We would like to thank the reception team for their help after a booking error on our behalf. Excellent customer service from ALL staff inc letsbookhotel.com. A special thank you to Chris from the reception team. Amazing breakfast options. We would return again. Had booked a suite with harbour views. The one given was on second floor with no views. But that was quickly sorted and given a suite on the 7th floor. Very comfortable beds and spacious rooms. The facilities were lovely and we got an upgrade to a club room on check in. We also got a reduced rate for buffet breakfast which was fantastic. Great service and I was very impressed. The Staff very friendly and helpful. The beds were very clean and comfortable. Close walk to everything the harbor, restaurants, shops and more. Really enjoyed my stay I'll be back!. Reception Staff excellent and friendly loved the bottle of Champagne on arrival for my 50th Birthday..Wish we could of had more time at the Park Royal Darling Harbour... I had mentioned that we were staying as part of our 35th wedding anniversary celebrations. We were given a bottle of wine to help celebrate - a lovely touch!. The view for the Darling Harbour is great!And it's quite close to the Darling Harbour Shopping Centre where has bars ,restaurants and cafes. Service. All staff were very friendly and attentive. The Hotel is perfectly located to Darling Harbour. Easy walking distance to shops. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the hotel and will be back again. No in house laundry rooms for patrons to do their own washing. 2. The room had only one chair to sit on other than an office chair and office desk( slim type). 3. No dinning table for two although there was enough room for one to be positioned if some thought had been put into it for real life living. The upshot was we only use room service twice out of 6 nights. I thought it was humorous that there were beautiful looking seared scallops pictured on the front of the menu in our room but that they were not actually on the menu =) SO not at all something I didn't like, just thought that was funny. The lighting in the room was a little to soft. for example when unpacking/packing suitcases and wanting to iron our clothes we felt we needed a brighter main light to focus. Good lighting to snuggle & chill out but that's it. We stayed for 6 nights, booked well in advance our took did not face the harbour a bit dissapointing. It rained we had an event to go to at darling harbour,. That I had to call 4 days after our stay to have the money they were holding on my credit card for the room released back in to my account. As many hotels today skimping on the treats and freebies like little disappointed about minor things such as no biscuits with the tea/coffee Facilities :( overall was great time even if it was for work!. No Electric kettle in the room had to ring Reception it took about 30 - 45 mins for the Houseman to bring a Kettle up to us... At the end of the day it's a minor thing it's just nice to have a cuppa first thing in the morning.. We came back to the bar for dessert and coffee/drink - but it had just closed at 10.30pm. The hall is too small for such a great hotel. Car parking is too expensive. Pillows too high - not access to variety of sizes. Bed was fair. N/a. nothing. I thought breakfast was expensive. The TV did not provide access to all Free View channels and the Foxtell was limited to News, Sport and Tattoos. Maybe the lifestyle channel or Geographic channel would have greater appeal. parking expensive, not included in room rate. my firends on 6th floor found room a little noisy but on 7th floor we had no problems. Nothing. Was expecting the room to have a bath - website mentioned it. Nothing, congrats I loved it all. That I had to leave. Unfortunately our room appeared to be a dedicated room for disabled, In that the bathroom had a walk in shower which did not drain very well. After each shower, the floor was flooded. This could have been a safety hazard and needs to be rectified. General lighting a bit low! Only spot downlights nothing in middle of room but all OK. Didnt like the room this time it had two double beds would have like it to have a queen size bed. Also was hoping it had a bath like the one we had at the last stay. N/A. Advertised 40 inch TV had shrunk to approx. 26 inch (false advertising). Air conditioning too hot for comfort. Restaurant location (should be in ground floor ) taps in the shower, no storage in the bathroom. E.g drawers Availability of light meals in the bar of an evening. Eg toasted sandwich, nachos etc. Very uncomfortable bed causing sleepless night Very hard uncomfortable pillows Poor breakfast selection. beds a little to hard and pillows too soft. Not much. tv was set to wrong resolution, was fuzzy and i couldnt change it due to the hotel lock it has, also couldnt play movies from my usb in the tv due to the locking thing. Recent makeover very stark in style with sharp corners to walk into. Nowhere at all in the room to store clothes other than hanging them. ie not a drawer to be seen, so had to keep rummaging in suitcase to find undies etc!. Could benefit from hotel room wifi the weekly cost of this is expensive and holiday makers do want to keep online whilst away. nothing all good. Beds a bit hard not much of a view. Room didnt get cleaned first night, not a great view. forgot some clothes, sent mail still no confirmation after 2 weeks !!. fittings need an upgrade.
