  We came as a group and booked both the "mansion" and the "coach house". Both were amazing - old houses on whose land I guess the other motel-like units were built. Overlooking the river and with lawns all round, a barbeque down by the river. Sure the houses were old, but still in good repair. Had a great time! - The staff and restaurant and restaurant staff were fantastically friendly and helpful. And the food especially at the restaurant - we had dinner - was some of the most delicious my partner and I ever tasted. And the view of the Derwent river was also brilliant. The ducks came right up to our back door and we could feed them. It was so peaceful and adorable.

  It's about 10-15 mins walk from the bus mall and has nice views from the top floor. The friendly staffer who checked me in upgraded me for free to a quiet triple room on the top floor. The room lacked for nothing I wanted, except for tea and coffee which is available in a separate "tea room".   We stated in the motel. While an older style motel we got a very big room and very comfortable surrounds. Service on check in was excellent with advice about delivery of meals from external restaurant welcome as we didn't wish to go out. The place was good value for money. - Situated in the midway of thr slope, it js close to city center and yet won't be noisy. The room was very spacious and clean. We enjoyed staying in here. There was a funny cute fat cat accompanying us when we check out. The cat didn't let us walk ahead of it, so funny.
