The reception was excellent, very friendly and helpful, explained the best places to have a meal, and the localities of same. My wife and I travelled to Coffs Harbour for Medical Specialist reasons, will have to return early in June so will stay at the Hawaiian Sands again if there is a vacancy. The room was spacious, comfortable, clean and had everything we needed for our overnight stay on a budget. The pub across the road did indeed have great value meals and live music and the owner, Mel, was lovely to deal with. Would stay here again.
alle vurderinger » It was exactly what we needed. Room was clean and staff were very friendly. Great pricing. Air-con worked brilliantly. Couldn't hear the neighbours or traffic etc at all. Awesome location. Water pressure in the shower was great too!. The rooms were older and therefore spacious. Everything was super clean. There is a fridge, toaster and microwave and free butter, jams and cookies. We were very close to the ocean and Kai and Mel were fantastic hosts. Great for overnight stay, very friendly hosts. No eating facility but within walking distance the Bowling club served good meals, and the rooms had toaster etc for making your own breakfast. Would stay again. This hotel was great. Although it was basic, everything was clean and tidy. It is right across the road from a fabulous family friendly pub and a 5 min walk to the beach! Great value, and great service. The early check in was great, very friendly owner. Pointed us to the main areas without being asked. The pub across the road was fantastic with cheap meals. Very clean comfortable room. Clean, quiet room with a neat little kitchen. Hotel accross the road from a great eating and drinking spot- no need to drive 'home' afterwards!. The people were so friendly and accomodating. The place was always clean and the new towels were given constantly and anything you asked for. Staff were fantastic. Loved the pub across the road. Perfect place for our stopover and kids really enjoyed a room to themselves (as did I)!. Only negative was the bathroom window was at the front of the room and you could hear next door's room and outside if you don't shut the bathroom door. There was nothing that we didn't like. Horrible noisy (but cold enough) window fitted ac. No washing machine or kitchnette (only small). Unpleasant smell when we arrived , though it did become unnoticeable after a short while. The time when we have to go home. There was nothing I did not Like. a little noisey and that is being picky. No complaints whatsoever. Did what it said on the tin. Better cooking facilities would have helped us - only a microwave and toaster in our room. Hot plate and pans would have allowed us to cook up some pasta. Little outdated. Rooms could do with a renovation. Leaving. wifi signal in our room was very weak. Only connection when we sat in front of the door. Rained the whole time!!!. Nothing to dislike. Car park hard to park in and to get in and out of. Expected to wash dishes but don't have a kitchen sink. Unlike other motels I have stayed at, it did not have a restaurant or offer breakfast to patrons. Difficult to get anywhere .very helpful staff at pubacross the road. Understanding that the Motel is on a corner block, the gps and the website shows the address is on the main road rather than actual entrance which is via the side street. A minor issue, but none-the-less, a pain in the bum trying to find the place at 11pm at night. for a weeks stay should have had atleast a kitchen sink & a little larger room. All good. nothing didnt have enough time to enjoy the facility. Parking was quite tight at times. Wasn't too close to the city centre. heating not adequate. The noisy neighbours. The noise from the pub up the road.
