Comfortable unit with lounge dining area, small bedroom, bathroom and kitchenette. No storage area for luggage except lounge floor. Flat screen televisions in bedroom and lounge, reverse cycle air conditioner in lounge. Washing machine in bathroom, no dryer but a drying rack supplied. Mattress a bit hard, but reasonably comfortable bed. Unit clean and toiletries replenished daily. Secure undercover parking with lift to upper floors. Indoor pool and nice courtyard area with barbecue which we did.
alle vurderinger » I was looking for a quiet location without a hefty price tag with easy access to the city. Parklands Apartments delivered on all counts.The rooms were clean, very quiet inside and well appointed. The swimming pool, gym and underground parking a special bonus. A walk to Dickson shops and cafes, no need to drive. I would recommend without hesitation. Friendly staff, nice clean and spacious rooms, was very happy. Came down for grooving the moo with my two friends and we were really surprised at how nice it was considering it was only $150 for the night :) other places surrounding were more expensive and didn't look as nice. We booked a spa room and it was well maintained with all facilities including a microwave. Walking distance from the Dixon Restaurants which is why we chose the hotel. The people were friendly we would come back again when visiting Canberra. Room was spacious and cleaned daily. It was a short drive to everything in Canberra. The facilities were excellent - indoor heated pool was great even though we had pretty cold weather. Secure underground parking was an added bonus. Friendly staff and helpful, great tv, thoughtful design of apartment. Spacious studio for 2 people. Near Dickson shops, great gym and clean under cover pool. What more do you need for a 2 day break. The apartment was roomy and comfortable. Everything we needed for a self-catering stay was provided (except a breadknife). Reasonably priced and we would certainly recommend it. It was easy to book our stay online and when we arrived the staff were very helpful and courteous. We enjoyed a very relaxing stay. The pool and spa were most enjoyable. Amazing value for money. The manager was even running guests around in his own car because the taxis in Canberra are so unreliable. Friendly professional receptionist. Friendly staff. No luggage storage area in unit. My husband found the bed a little bit short in length and he is only 5 11" his feet were right to the bottom of the bed. I'm only 5 2" had no problem :) But we would still come back. We enjoyed ourselves. Didn't have any dislikes, was a really excellent place to stay and great value for money. Nothing I didn't like. Noise of people walking by our room through the night. I think the location of our room was why - near the stair well from the under ground car park. No Wi Fi in our room. All good - (well maybe a breadknife could have been provided). The clock-radio alarm could not be set. There was no place to wash glasses or get water for jug except the bathroom. The minibar was virtually empty. Coffee table became the seat because internet cable on the desk was too short to reach where the chair was. There was no wifi in the room so two people could not work at once. My door decided not to open after I had put all my luggage inside but I was instantly upgraded to a 2 bedroom suite & my luggage was brought to me about 1 hour later. They let me stay in the new room for my whole stay. A bit of bad luck turned into good luck. Nothing. No microwave proof bowls or salad bowls provided. Difficult to prepare a simple meal with the kitchenware on hand. would have liked a dryer if needed ie cooler weather; was ok with weather we had; sometimes room a little warm & aircon not on??. There wasn't a skillet to cook your meat. the sliding door being unlocked all the time and with the blinds its hard to see - I didnt like my room backing onto a vacant lot. No aircon in the bedroom. During my last stay a small but rather LOUD drunken group had a party upstairs. It was rather late when it did finish.. all good. Nothing to not like. No wifi in room. Had cable, but no use as didn't have connector for ipad. Wifi in lobby didn't work either Bit out of the way. Dickson shops and bus not as close as I thought. Tried using bus first day, disaster, had to rely on cabs from then on. Would hire car next time. Took us quite a while to find out how to use the air conditioner instructions weren't all that explicit. Nothing. Breakfast deal showed pancakes giving impression of hot breakfast, but was cold and boring. Nothing. The pillows were not comfortable, too high. some staff not sure of on-line booking situations or don't understand how on-line bookings work. Staff did not help with bags The central courtyard could be used better for shared space Noise from people gathering on the balconies. All apartments seem to face onto open courtyard, where lights are left on all night. Despite closing all curtains, a loty of light enters the rooms and disturbs one's sleep. A great disadvantage. The neighbours were really noisy. They were a big group and might have had several rooms because they had the doors open and people coming and going until late at night and early in the morning. We booked two rooms - a triple and a double. The triple room was quite small for a family of three. Our adult daughters room was probably better for two adults and a young adult child. Pool and Gym were out of order. TV signal was not good. there was a lot of drop outs on multiple channels. Pillows were too high. Essentially a cheap/basic motel at a very high price. Cooked breakfast was appalling, out of 3; one morning the service took so long I couldn't order, the next morning I ordered but it was inedible (sausages terrible and so much water in eggs the toast was wet like a sponge), the third was ordinary at best. Design of complex more like a motel than a hotel with external balconies and central common area that encouraged the Austtralian habit of loud talking outside late at night. Lounge very stark with no soft lighting in the lounge - we had to move 1 of the bedside lamps into the lounge. Bathroom a bit shabby with toilet seat that threatened to fall off. When moved in no piliow case on 1 pillow and virtually no cockery to use. No kettle. Had to ask for all but rpidly fixed by friendly staff. The buildings are getting rather tired and need a paint etc.
