It was a very calm peaceful setting in a busy city. We used the Ilum as our base and travelled to other destinations returning to the Ilum each time. The staff were very welcoming and accommodating. After one night I asked to be moved to a quieter room as I am a very light sleeper and the noise from the road was bad. I was moved without any problem. The facilities are excellent and the neighbourhood is safe and interesting to walk around. Lots of restaurants close by and the "hop on hop off" tourist bus passes close by. The concierge arranged for us to see a Tango show which was excellent. Will go back.

The Sileo was everything advertised. Great location, very friendly staff, very clean and comfortable room.
The Sileo is a smaller boutique hotel probably more suited to couples without kids but it has a more intimate feel which we thought added to the charm. The location is great as it's on a quieter street around the cemetery. We had the most amazing view of the cemetery. We would absolutely stay there again if we were back in Buenos Aires.
