Hotel had a more personable feeling about it - some of the larger hotels are so impersonal. Staff were extremely friendly and greeted you upon arrival and departure. Staff were very responsive. The location is extremely good - quiet and within walking distance to many of the tourist sites.

This is an outstanding hotel. The service is superb and the staff courteous and polite. The dining experience is fabulous, and the chicken curry (ask for the white meat to be changed for dark meat) is divine. Room service is rapid, with the slowest delivery being 32 minutes - that would be extremely fast for most 5 star hotels that I have stayed in.

The room is very big. Free wifi, comfortable bed, a nice fireplace that provided good heating. Location is great. a couple of laundromats on Bush St only 2 mins walk away. Terrific Japanese restaurant 5 min walk on Sutter St. 10-15 min walk to major shops e.g. Macy, Uniglo, etc. Free breakfast and afternoon tea provided. The apple pie for the afternoon tea was delicious. The receptionist was very helpful. Suggest that receptionist book a taxi for airport the day before your trip.

What a wonderful welcome we received here - a breath of fresh air after the feeling of being on a cash conveyor belt in Las Vegas. I cannot say enough nice things about this place. So friendly and Wayne is incredibly knowledgable about where to go etc in and around the city. Wine & cheese each evening was a delightful social event which gave us the chance to chat with fellow guests. The location was brilliant too.

The hotel has a lovely feel to it - pleasant staff on arrival; comfortable rooms; well positioned for an easy stroll into town and access to all amenities. A free daily happy hour from 4pm to 6pm was a very welcome unexpected bonus. As the name of the hotel might suggest there are strong links to the military and as a visitor from the UK it was pleasing to see the level of respect that is shown.

There was nothing that I did not like. The two-story Plinko board with
soccer balls, the leisure room in the loft, the design - from the metal
dog to the wall of convicts - all perfect. The staff was friendly,
knowledgable, and enthusiastic about their hotel. Their location is
perfect - close enough to Union Square to enjoy the nightlife, but far
enough away to avoid the noise; the bart is half a block away and
provides access to the entire city. I highly recommend this hotel.

This hotel was excellent. Our family of 1 adult and 1 child fitting with 2 x Queen beds comfortably. The rooms and facilities were clean and tidy. The hotel is located in an awesome position. Walking distance to everything that Union Square and the shopping precinct has to offer.

our second stay here. We live locally but have events in SF. This hotel is our first choice. Fab location and Hotel. We had a corner room which looked out to the ferry building and the street cars. Hip boutique hotel.
This visit the only - was the fan constantly blowing in the room/bath. I slept in the robe for I was cold. If I turned on the heat the room would have been hot for the others. easy to walk around and pick up a cab here.
