  The Greenporter is a retro styled hotel and works very well as exactly that. It doesn't pretend to be a luxury hotel and doesn't charge as one. We liked it a lot. It also has an extremely good chef, my wife rated one of the dishes she ate as the best she'd ever eaten, and she is not given to overstatement. It's very well situated to explore Greenp... wat mensen zeggen » ort, beautiful Shelter Island, and the lovely North Fork. I would comfortably recommend it to anyone, but would also suggest they don't use Hoppy's Cl - The room its own AC unit and fridge both essential during the hot spell. The cleaning staff were thorough and extremely helpful. Swimming pool small but nice and very quiet. The hotel is ideally located for walking into the town which has an abundance of nice bars and restaurants.
