  The place definitely has history. We even looked it up and have a look for yourselves: http://www.newarkhistory.com/mlkblvd.html It looks a little bit run down, but we didn't experience any of the terrible things people mention in their reviews. The room was clean and spacious. There was even bottled water in the fridge and candies. No tea and - Hotel is much better than we expected owing to unfavourable reviews we read. Staff, cleanliness, comfort are very good.   Boerum Hill is a great alternative to staying in Manhattan. We were travelling for a friends wedding in the area and probably wouldn't have considered it before but definitely would again. We stayed in the top floor, two bedroomed apartment which gave us much more flexibility than you would have in a hotel room. The space is great, two good sized double rooms and a well equipped kitchen and bathroom. Free WiF - Having previously paid a small fortune to stay in cramped dingy hotels rooms in Manhattan, we decided to try this as an alternative. It was a great decision. You get so much more for your money, in terms of space and facilities. Our room was spotless, spacious and comfortable. We were in a guest house but had total independence and freedom. The very helpful manager was available at specified times but left us to ourselves unless we initiated contact. The area has plenty bars and restaurants nea

  For the money we paid it was really good. New york hotels are expensive! For this price u cant expect that much. It was just a simple room with a bed, a sink and a tv but thats all you need for a couple of days. We stayed there for just one night. The staff was friendly so all in all it was a nice stay there. Alsothe hotel is in the middle of chin... wat mensen zeggen » atown and just a few streets away from Little Italy and the Subway! Though the bathroom could have been more cleaner but hey its a shared bathroom so - Great location in the middle of bustling Chinatown, with 3 subway stations within a 5 minute walk, and considerably cheaper than most Manhattan hotels. After all, in 'the City that Never Sleeps' you don't want to spend too much time in your hotel room!
