I would thoroughly recommend staying at The hotel California Best Western, The location is central and the staff treat you like your in a 5 star hotel! - Free cheese & wine each evening got you chatting to other residents.   For the price it had everything I expected and more. While small the spa area and exercise area were superior and the staff GREAT. I just wish it opened earlier than 9 am. The staff was very good as was the business center ( small but adequate). I would stay t here again and would recommend it to others. The room was comfortable, the decor was interesting and bonuses for me were free internet and plenty of electrical outlets. It was in a perfect location for conference at a Union Square hotel as well as shopping and entertainment. I'd definitely stay there again. Loved it.

  The personalized service was amazing. Upon our arrival, we wrote it was our first time to the city. The concierge hand wrote a welcome card and included a map with highlighted areas we must see WITH a detailed (again handwritten) explanation of each place corresponding to color print outs of the sites.   The rate online was very competitive for a city stay. They provided complimentary bottled water and cookies in the afternoon. As a guest, you get a discount at the adjoining cafe, which providing a convenient breakfast. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They held my bags at the front desk after I checked out, while I got my rental car. The location can't be beat, right in the heart of the Cit - Ideally situated for everything. In Union Square in 2 minutes and easy access to all forms of transport. Staff were friendly and helpful and the diner next door excellent. Everything on the doorstep. Being in the city centre meant it was noisy at night but earplugs were provided. We slept very well without resorting to them. Very happy with it all and thoroughly recommend the hotel.
