We arrive super early and even though we couldn't get an earlier check in at 8am she called the spa to allow us fix ourselves up and change in their facility. She did her best at getting the room ready and personally called us back at 1230 to let us know when it was.   We live 60 plus miles from the city and have come in often for weekends and stayed in numerous hotels over the years. This is by far the very best experience we have ever had and I will never think of booking any other hotel.   Outside construction noise worried me upon arrival, but we were given a room that faced the back courtyard and overall our stay was very quiet. The room itself was beautiful and very tastefully decorated. While smaller than usual hotel rooms, it provided us with enough space for a short weekend stay. The room was somewhat on the small side (1 king bed, room with two queens is larger but also more expensive) but I guess that is common in NY where space is limited and hotel prices are high.
