  Loved my stay at the Coconut Waikiki! This hotel is such a great deal for Waikiki and the location is perfect - right on the canal so a little quieter than being right on the main strip. Decor looks just like the hotel photos - fresh and modern. Very comfy beds, was sad to leave them. All the reviews about the canal side being noisy are accurate -... wat mensen zeggen » if you're a light sleeper, bring earplugs, but the air conditioning unit helps cancel out the sound at night. Go for a mountain view room for sure. S - I loved the cute decour, the room was well kept and clean. I know that people have made comments about the continental breakfast and so I was prepared for the worst but I honestly thought it was good. There may not be a lot of choice but it got me through the morning. Also considering that there was a kichenette in my room, I could always buy breakfast goods if I wanted more. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and I would stay here again. Close to lots of shopping and the beach. Eve

  The hotel is along the canal and central to everything Waikiki plus the price is right! They upgraded us to a one bedroom even though we hadn't requested it. Nice. If you are expecting a 5 star this is not for you.   First let start by saying that it is not the Ritz Carlton; however, this hotel is located right in the middle of Waikiki Beach. When you walk out of the lobby it is ½ block walk to the International Marketplace and a 1.5 block to the beautiful Waikiki Beach. I have read some reviews that the lot was full and they were unable to find a spot. We never encountered tha - Ilima is a gem! The decor is absolutely vintage Hawaiian.... wood, tile, wicker, tropical prints, original local artwork, and pink all over. We had room 1507 and had an amazing view of the canal and mountains. It was perfect to wake up to this every morning, with a very big balcony seating area to have coffee and tea. Studio room was also really big with a full kitchen.   fijn hotel! er zitten heel veel hotels in dit stukje van waikiki. het maakt dus qua lokatie niet uit in welk hotel je zit. dit was voor ons een van de goedkoopste. prima zwembad, niet groot, maar wij waren vrijwel de enige die er gebruik van maakte. service was niks op aan te merken. Nette grote kamer. kamer heeft een keukenblok, dus je zou op de k... wat mensen zeggen » amer kunnen koken. - Very friendly and helpful staff, very nice room. $12 parking right nextdoor, extremely convenient for going to Waikiki beach. One long blockfrom the Duke Kahanmoku statue which is dead center on the beach. GoodMexican restaurant called La Cucaracha along the way that was semi-reasonable. - I like the small size of the hotel which makes it a bit more personal and less commercial as big hotels. The room itself is very clean although the hotel building itself is dated.

  We stayed in Waikiki for our honeymoon and the hotel and staff made our stay amazing. From the minute we checked into our junior suite until checking out and beyond. We used the courtesy room for freshening up after check out due to our flight being in the evening. The hotel concierge was very helpful for our trips out.   exelent rooms, love the kitchen and the bed sofa... the only thing was that my reseervation was changed got a diferent room but other then that everything was perfect .... thank you . - We are regulars at the Pacific Monarch, visiting every year, and we know what we are getting, know the staff, and the great location.
