  The staff was friendly and helpful. The room, while rather small, was clean and neat. The bathroom, while very small (I've had larger bathrooms on cruise ships), was also clean, neat and stocked with sufficient towels and basic amenities. Fortunately, the bed was very comfortable. The room was not air-conditioned, but the ceiling fan was sufficent to keep the room pleasant - First time in a 'Boutique Hotel' setting, was amazing, very charming, friendly, convenient to everything, trolley directly outside hotel....restaurants, cafes, shopping, all within walking distance, or hop on trolley. Was very quiet, slept wonderfully. Decor quaint & beautiful. Bed comfy, water pressure great. Bkft included was good & filling. Cannot say enough great things about this adorable hotel. We will definately be back!

  The location was exceptional. You are one block from the Mark Hopkins, Fairmount and Huntington Hotel. The building is a condo that about 20 rooms have been turned into Hotel Suites so you don not have the front desk clerk or amenities of many 4 star hotels but you have a beautiful studio apartment that has stainless steel appliances, flat screen ... wat mensen zeggen » tv, fully equpted kitchen and wifi with your own router in the room so the speed is very good. I did not miss the door man. However, you do need to co - Great location, very friendly staff, comfortable bed, Wifi high speed. I would highly recommend this place for people that need a mid to long- term place to stay.

  our stay was excellent! we were a young couple traveling on a budget. we had no complaints and we felt we got our money's worth. the manager was so nice!! we read in another review that the room was noisy, but it was understandable because the hotel is located on a cable car route. the noise was manageable and fine to sleep with. everything from th... wat mensen zeggen » e room, bathroom, location, bed, service, price, safety, to the staff was better than most places we stayed for that price. will stay here next time!! - I liked the price, the location worked well and was safe, albeit 'downhill' from Nob hill. My initial anxiety about the location disappeared quickly. My room was cozy, in the basement, and turned out to be very quiet. Bed comfortable, room clean. I had fresh air from a window on an inner courtyard, and even with the window open could hardly hear traffic. Hotel was fairly quiet, overall.

  I'm not sure why this hotel doesn't get better reviews. My girlfriend and I stayed for two days and had a great experience. The staff was friendly, the location was great, room was clean and updated. We stayed in room 404, which I highly recommend. I'm not sure sure why so many people complain at Da Vinci Villa on here, I would recommend it to everyone - Terrific suite with fantastic view of the Golden Gate Bridge. Welcoming and helpful staff. Convenient parking, although daily charge of $25 plus tax seemed a little high. Good continental breakfast, with fresh fruit, pastries, and bagels, bread, preserves etc. Great location for walking to Fishermans Wharf etc, or the great value bus into the city.
