  We stayed at this hotel in July 2013 for 4 nights. It was myself, hubby and our 13 year old daughter. We really enjoyed our stayed at this hotel. The location is great, you can walk along Hollywood Boulevard to the 'strip' and it was only 10min drive to Universal Studios which we visited during our stay. The room was very spacious, plenty of room for the 3 of us. It wa - I really enjoyed the time I had spent getting away with my husband. The front manager was very friendly and made us feel comfortable to be staying here.. I also LOVED the location of this hotel, there were so many fast food restaurants less than a mile away, banks, grocery stores, starbucks Yogurtland, and more!   I loved this place. The girl was old and out-dated, but I didn't hold it against her. Because she was built to last. And the current owners keep her impeccably clean and well-maintained. The internal courtyard with pool, Jacuzzi and beautiful garden were just magical. It lent a real spa-like oasis-type feel to the place. The - Very, very service-minded staff during the 8 days I stayed here. Especially Ryan and Felix at the front-desk! It was nice to have a mini fridge in the room in which I stored groceries and drinks I'd bought at Ralphs located two minutes away (by foot). Only 2 dollars to use the washing machine.   This very low profile hotel is the best kept secret in hollywood. At first sight it doesn't seem to be the best choice. Yet in my opinion it is. I've been around la for a while in the various neighborhoods and in many different hotels. And the "Super 8" without the slightest of doubt was the best offer quality-pricewise. In - In fact, this is a good price in relation to the quality. In the Neighbourhood, it might be the best (I've been in most budget hotels in Hollywood). Free Parking en centrally located.   I was attending a classic movie festival and felt safe walking in the neighbourhood alone, even at night. The staff was very friendly and helpful in providing information and printing my boarding passes. The location was superb - close to the Hollywood Walk of Fame, theatres and shopping. The linens and towels were clean, the rest of the room was only superficially cleaned. The bed was very comfortable. The door had kind of flimsy lock.   We liked the location - it was very close to Hollywood Boulevard. The hotel was clean and it had all the basic comfort levels you would need. Overall we were happy with the hotel and would recommend!!!. The staff were very courteous and helpful, because it is an historic hotel. Loved just about everything! Our room was super noisy, facing Sunset Blvd with fire engines, police, people, everything, but hey, that's Sunset and it just added beauty to our stay. If you want a quiet place, this is not the place for you.
