  From the moment we arrived to when we left everything was just perfect. We drove to nyc and we were pleasantly greeted immediately. The staff was warm and welcoming. Our room on the 11 th floor was perfect. Just enough room. Great design and spotless! I give this hotel an a+. The location is great, close to east village and soho! The location is great because the subway is just a block north of the hotel and it is in the heart of a revitalized district of of New York.   We came to marry in nyc and sent in advance a request to be on an upper floor. We were immediately replied and we were upgraded to a corner room. Upon our arrival we were welcomed by champagne in our beautiful room, and were also given treats later on. The staff were attentive to any question, request or whim we had. Those constructions did not affec - We had an amazing stay in nyc and it had a lot to do with our stay at The Standard. The staff was so service minded and helpful 24/7! I asked for a room on a high floor and we ended up with the most amazing view which made our trip unforgettable. Even though the lobby and restaurant was under construction the experience the hotel as a whole was very satisfying. It did not bother us at all.   I can't say enough about how awesome this hotel was. I kept telling my husband, "Wow!! We SCORED!!!!" The rooms were quite spacious, the shower had great water pressure, we loved having a little mini kitchen with a fridge, stove top and dishwasher. The hotel is a block from a main subway line, and on a side street so it wasn't noisy at nigh - Everything about this hotel was amazing. I had originally booked a 3 night stay for my mom and myself. We had a room with two double beds and it was surprisingly spacious from my previous experience with NYC hotels. We didn't feel like we were stepping all over eachother! We ended up needing to stay for another night and the staff were very accommodating eventhough we ended up having to stay in a King room.
