  I love this little Inn. It is by far the least expensive place to stay in Chelsea/Flatiron. It is not fancy by any means but it is quiet and the location is great. It's half a block off 5th ave shopping, two blocks from Union square and 2 blocks from 8th Ave in Chelsea. The rooms have a refrigerator which was rare to find for the price. There... wat mensen zeggen » is a speak easy bar right next door (black awning no sign, down the stairs) with a great patio in the back. The continental breakfast next door has - The location and the courteous staff! Very comfortable and quiet and clean and you can get the sense of actually living there when you stay in this wonderful historic building. I will always book at the Chelsea Inn whenever I travel to NYC. The location is central to Union Square Station, and only one block over from 5th Avenue. From here, it's easy to get to anywhere in this beautiful City!

  I thought the hotel was excellent. I have visited New York many times on business but this time I was travelling with my wife and teenage children who had not visited New York before. The hotel rooms were excellent and were clean, comfortable and looked just like the hotel photos. We were upgraded from a family room to a suite and it was excellent... wat mensen zeggen » . It was by far the best hotel I have stayed at in New York and would be happy to recommend. It is also conveniently located. - The staff is very courteous, friendly, helpful. The concierge is very well informed, and knowledgeable with all kinds of restaurants; from raw vegan to the top steakhouses in the city. The house car is a plus. The location is perfect; a walking distance to anything you could think of!

  Fantastic, safe location just a few short minutes by foot to Times Square and in the centre of Restaurant Row - in-house restaurant was great too and we had a few meals there - including room service. Breakfasts were taken in the mezzanine conservatory and were delicious, with a wide choice of food and drink - the bagels and muffins were great. ... wat mensen zeggen » The two-bedroom suite we had was just ideal for us and our three sons - it was so nice to have a lounge where we could all meet up at the end of the d - The staff were fantastic to deal with, extremely friendly and helpful. Did not request an early check in but arrived following overnight flight and were accommodated immediately. The decor and facilities were excellent and despite having a room overlooking 46th St noise was not an issue and it was a nice view to look out upon opening the curtains in Oct sun in NY.   It was about the average price that you'd pay for hotels in Times Square, but it was just outside the border of Times Square so it wasn't really noisy and busy. Having said that, it was about a 30 second walk from the centre of Times Square. Perfect location! The staff were super friendly and helpful and with a 24hour front desk I felt very secure... wat mensen zeggen » knowing I could receive help at any time. Security deposit was only $100, which is relly cheap for ny. Free computer and printing, Internet, WiFi and - We absolutely loved this hidden gem! From the entrance onward! Carlos was very nice at check-in and check-out. The room was very much what we hoped for. I was skeptical to stay at a place that had kitchenettes but this was a pleasant surprise! Clean, plenty of room for us. Location could not be beat!! We look forward to staying again as we travel to nyc a few times a year. Lots close by. Walked everywhere from here and never seemed far!! I have stayed in central manhattan in the past and by comparison I think the lower east side had more soul and we felt more at home and that we were locals for the couple of weeks that we stayed there. Many buses both cross town and up and downtow - This Bed and Breakfast is the most desirable hotel we have ever stayed in the New York City area. From the exceptionally clean lobby, friendly and competent manager-- along with the quietness of the rooms where we had stayed on two different occasions-I fully recommend this Bed and Breakfast to anyone who would like to have peace and quiet while visiting New York.
