  The staff were very welcoming and friendly. As soon as we arrived we were given a complimentary upgrade to a Queen suite. The wifi worked perfectly which pleased my teenage children (and me!). We booked a taxi back to JFK at the front desk and a lovely Lincoln Continental arrived on time and made the journey effortless. The - We had a wonderful experience here and will do it again. The staff was MOST helpful (they turned our radiator off when it got warm in the room and also were smiling and accommodating with another small request we had to freeze ice packs in their kitchen freezer). We love this upper west side location, close to really great 'locals feel' shopping- not too touristy. Still some good street vendors nearby.   My partner and I spent 3 nights at The Manhattan and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was clean and comfortable with decent bathroom facilities. The hotel also provided free WiFi in the lobby. The location could not have been any better - very close to Times Square, Central Park, various restaurants... wat mensen zeggen » and the subway. We wouldn't hesitate to book with The Manhattan again and we would highly recommend the hotel to our family and friends! - I was very impressed with the hotel. It was better than I though being in nyc . I would recommend everyone to stay there. Shopping was rt at the door . Eating also entertainment was rt there. I could not have chosen a better place to stay. The kids enjoyed themselves ,first time in nyc. My brother was with me and he only stay at the Hilton when he travel, but he stayed with me and rated this hotel as very good and that says a lot coming from him.

  The lobby is comfortable and attractive. Staff was friendly and helpful. I had a problem the first night--smoke detector battery signal went off with a voice warning of low battery. A call got a maintenance man there in minutes. In the morning I asked about the disturbance and was offered a room upgrade. Second room was a somewhat larger and had a... wat mensen zeggen » king sized bed rather than queen. Bath is clean, Location is great, close to Times Square, shopping and dining. Getting to 8th and 9th Avenue is easy - The hotel is less than 5 minutes walking distance to Times Square and to two separate subway lines which run 24hours. Sights such as MoMa and Rockefeller Plaza are walking distance away. The room, bed linens and bathroom towels were clean. Bathrooms were clean as well. Rooms were cleaned Dailey and towels refreshed daily a well. Staff was helpful and friendly. The queen room accommodated my needs perfectly. The bed was comfortable.

Location is ideal: metro is at corner of the street, 7 minutes walk from 5th and 6th street and about 15 minutes walk from Times square. - LOVED the upgrade to the rooms.
