  Beautiful hotel; I love the dark wood and elegant light fixtures. The room was spacious and attractive with a great view. The bed was so comfortable - I haven't slept so well in a long time. We also enjoyed the beautiful lounge and the gym. - For an affordable NYC hotel, this one is the best value for money I have found.   The hotel was clean and comfortable. The cleaning staff kept us well stocked with fresh towels and plenty of coffee, and they were friendly. The desk staff and the bus boys were knowledgable and extremely helpful and friendly. They were always ready with a quick answer to questions, as well as, recommendations for travel, tours and dining. We had a small issues with our booking through the website : we booked 3, they expected 2 and although a bit stubborn to start they fixed the problem. The gym is ok but the pool hours are too short : 10 to 6pm

  This was our first trip to the USA and New York.The staff were friendly and very efficient. Started with Peter who radioed our arrival to reception even before we were out of the taxi. Together with Caesar on the door they were always there with advise on destinations and restaurants, and treated us like we were family.
