We loved the location. It was close to the things we wanted to do in Gettysburg during our stay.The rooms are huge!! We had a double because we had our two granddaughters with us so we needed two beds. The beds are King size which we loved and they thought that was awesome! The room also had a couch, a desk and chair and could of fit another bed probably. It had a small frig and microwave and a seperate extra sink area outside the bathroom. The woman from house-keeping (Connie) she was super she just went out of her way to show me around to the room we would be using in. They were very similar to the Hampton Hotel we stayed in in Florida. All of the staff was friendly, I just can't say enough about our stay if your going to Gettysburg the Aspire is the pl. We found this hotel to be updated, clean, and easily accessible to the Gettysburg battlefield. I'm sure there was more family friendly things to enjoy, but we didn't have our kids with us. It definitely served our purpose of a comfortable place to relax/sleep while exploring Gettysburg. The cost through letsbookhotel.com was a real deal. The room was spacious and very clean. The bed was very comfortable. The staff was more than helpful, The hotel was a short distance from the hustle and bustle of Gettysburg, so it was wonderfully quiet and peaceful. The room had a few minor cleaning issues but none that we felt would ruin our experience at Aspire. Pillows are fairly dense, so bring your own if you like fluffy pillows. The only thing that would have made it any better would have been to provide a breakfast. Elevator was out one night, but fixed. There was no TV station info in room. Also, there was not general info about the hours or exercise room, restaurant hours, or general info about the facilities. When I asked at the front desk--comment was they were looking in this. Mattresses on beds were old and squeaky - need to be replaced. Location was a bit far from town (Gettysburg). The closed hot tub. that there was no place in hotel for a cup of coffee. We would have liked to have a Continental breakfast available. Also we could not get all the channels on the TV. Wake up calls when I didn't ask for them at 0600 in the morning. Failed to fix the problem. A 0600 fire alarm that was a mistake. No room service for three days. A totally unresponsive and or incompetent staff. The room was musty; there was an open bottle of shampoo in the shower when we arrived and a couple of hairs were in the tub. The ottoman had a rip in the upholstery on top. Breakfast was awful. It seems to need more updating/refreshing. The finish and furnishings were old and tired. Repairs to walls in the room weren't finished, drywall mud but no paint on the patch. The room vibrated, it wasn't the A/C and I don't think I was over a mechanical room since I was on the 3rd floor. WAY OVER PRICED! smelled like mildew in parts of the hallway going to the Eisenhower area. had to wait 20 min for check in. Got there at 3:30pm and the desk had to call several people to see why rooms weren't ready. No breakfast included. Out dated and dirty hallways. carpet stained wallpaper peeling. needs a desperate face lift. Will never stay again!.
