It is really a nice hotel and the staff was very friendly and helpful in any way..they have a pool and good breakfast..the rooms were clean and it is located in good walking distance to the mall and Restaurants..the pet fee is 25 Dollars for the whole stay and you cant beat that since others charge per night... The room was more spacious than expected. Area felt safe with many walking to dinner. Close to restaurants, mall, movies.

The location was central to everything we wanted to see and do in downtown Charleston. Breakfast was good. Two things I did not like was that the floor in the room would Need some shampooing but I have to say I was on the pet floor so they might dont do it that often, other than that it was clean and the bathroom light could be a Little bit brighter... No cots were available so we had to make a pallet on the floor for my 14 year old son. Pool was closed. Parking lot seemed unsecured, especially since this hotel is in an urban setting. Housekeeping knocked on our door. We didn't think that it was our door that they were knocking on so we didn't answer. They opened the door and we were in their. Just wishing that they would've knocked and announced theirself before coming into our room. Rooms and bathrooms were small. When the staff cleaned our room they removed all the soap and I had to go ask for more. Carpet very old. Lobby entrance very poor. The pool was small, and lots of people were smoking around it. The hotel was rather run-down and shabby. We traveled with 3 small children (ages 6, 4 and 4). Most hotels require families that size to reserve two rooms. We were pleased and surprised that this hotel allowed us to book one room. Although it had just two Queen beds, the description said that pull-out beds would be available upon request. This is NOT true - something about fire code?. Parking was terrible felt like you were parking in an unsafe alley. Bathroom facilities. They offer smoking rooms that could be cleaned better! The vents on the HVAC system were quite dusty. Not enough hotel toiletries in the rooms. The air conditioner in our room was propped up on a piece of wood and soaked the carpet with water. The beds and pillows were very uncomfortable. The sheets were clean, however there were still hairs on them. The breakfast was also not fantastic but not unusual for a chain hotel of this type. All in all it was very poor value for the money. I booked the room for 5 people and they did not even have a roll away bed. One of us had to sleep in the floor with blankets on the floor. The carpet was dirty as was the corners of the bathroom. This was not a good buy.
