Hotel 140 is located only a 5-minute walk from the rear exit of Back Bay Railroad Station. Upon arrival I had taken the train from Springfield, MA. I followed the drive where the local buses pull into Back Bay Station right out to Clarendon Street and bore left. I had just a half-block walk from that point to the front entrance of the hotel. Great suite, Breakfast buffet well organized and lots of options
(would have liked some cheese or meat though). Nice Indoor swimming pool. Great location:15 minutes from downtown including walking to subway station, 5 minutes walk from/to car rental facility with 9 major companies, 5 minutes from airport terminals with hotel shuttle and no noise from airport.

I loved the front desk staff. They were extremely helpful, helping us understand the train routes. The shuttle service was excellent, always on time. It was close to the airport, the shuttle picks you up, drops you off. The shuttle also works to take you to a local target and/or to the closest metro station. The room was pretty large, the hotel also has a laundromat (besides the regular laundry service for hotel prices) which you have to pay for 1,5$ for washer and 1,5$ for dryer. But I did appreciate it and did my own laundry -- it was cheaper than have it done at the regular hotel laundry service.

The hotel is within walking distance to the train/underground system. it wasnt as close to the ballpark as i would have liked but short distance on the train. Facility is not a five star by any means but is great for the fact that it is in the city and all the hotels are quite expensive in this area. -

Location was great! Its a very historical building and its been updated. On the first night, there was banging like someone was using a hammer at 9pm and I called the front desk and it stopped! Also, the door man was such a delight...helped get our car, load the car, offered help with directions, even gave our son some small toys! -

We stayed for the Boston Marathon. We wanted a family friendly and nice
hotel with a kitchen within a reasonable walking distance from the
events. This was exactly what we got. The staff were extremely nice, as
are all Bostonians incidentally. The Breakfast buffet was a nice
surprise and well done. The pool, although small, was plenty of fun for
the kids and just as new and clean as the rest of the hotel.

The staff were excellent at this hotel. Very helpful, friendly and professional. Nothing was too much trouble. The room was very clean and functional. The concierge Anita was particularly helpful, attentive and was very personable. Free wifi, water and snacks on arrival and coffee is a nice touch and the breakfast was varied and plentiful.

This property is excellent. It consists of all suites which is perfect for couples or families. The building is beautiful itself and has great views from the rooms.
