Abingdon is a well hidden secret...I have lived in this state for the past 12 years and had no idea that such a quaint town existed..filled with old world history and festivals and art ...I really fell in love the with the olive oil company located on e.main street..a must for anyone who enjoys food..tell Penny I sent you.
Pleasantly surprised. Dated exterior and interior but clean as a
whistle. I was prepared to find a grungy trucker's stop, but it want
at all. This was the cleanest room I ever rented while traveling.

For the area, an inexpensive alternative for overnight housing. Room was clean and comfortable, staff was friendly. There are food options within walking distance, and others within a short driving distance. Rooms did include microwave and refrigerator.
Everyone there was friendly and helpful. Had everything ready for when we walked paid or bill handed us keys told where our rooms were and about breakfast and rooms were clean no smell bathroom was really clean as well. Will stay here again.
The staff service was amazing! The desk clerk was kind, friendly, displayed a love for her job, Greeted guest with a warm smile! My family certainly enjoyed the stay.

Dated appearance...inside stuck in the 90s, exterior looks like a motel
from the 80s. Needs a facelift.
A few problems with the room - light fixture that did not work, clock that did not work. Wireless was not strong enough to be effective for my cell phone. In my view minor problems but might bother some travelers more than me.
We would have liked if the room had a flat screen TV and a freezer portion in the refrigerator.

When my husband, son, and myself stayed the following weekend the mattresses must have had plastic on them which caused us to sweat during the night and every time someone moved you could hear them.

Bathroom was not clean, hair all over shower and dirty hand prints up
bathroom door. The carpet felt greasy under my feet as well. Our air
conditioner did not work either because the air compressor was froze up.
I know this because I spoke to maintenance man next morning.
Breakfast should have been classified as a continental breakfast.
There was no decaf coffee.
