  Staff was great mostly. Location was great because it was literally in front of the metro (and the metro is so easy to use because it only goes North and South). The pool is awesome too. The staff went out of their way to give me a room with a nice view after I requested it...put me on the 58th floor! The hotel is huge but never felt crowded. Included an entry way, sitting area, sleeping area, bathroom with a separate tub, a detached toilet roo - Staff and location! Right in front of it is the metro station. On S. Zayed Road full of life. A pharmacy, clinic, 24hrs market and many restaurants are just steps away. Rooms are of a good size.   Very clean room. Bed is the most comfortable bed I have tried at a hotel In room facilities and staff attitude are A+. Only 10 minutes away to/from DXB and to the essential shopping centres. There's a supermarket right behind the hotel. I got upgraded to the executive floor (5) which meant a larger room and access to the executive lounge. Did I forget to mentio - It was such a luxury staying at your hotel. We had just arrived from several weeks in Africa and felt we were treated like royalty!! Service was fantastic and very friendly. Close enough to metro and airport. Lovely pool area and breakfast restaurant has such an amazing variety of great food...it's making me hungry just thinking about it!! Will definitely recommend and stay here on my next trip thru Dubai.

  This was my second stay at Melia Dubai. I stayed here in January 2013 and when I needed to go back to Dubai, I chose to stay at the same hotel. The rooms at Melia are worth the stay.Very modern, very sleek. I like the modern door key and the mirror TV. I stayed in a suite the last time and this time I stayed in a deluxe double room.   A lovely, clean hotel with very friendly and helpful staff and good service. The rooms were decently spaced with very comfortable beds and pillows. The kitchenette was equipped with a good 2 hob cooker, electric kettle, toaster, large fridge/freezer, washing machine/dryer and 2 mugs and spoons for coffee. The bathroom also has a clothes line and the complementary toiletries and towels were very handy (no toothbrush/too - It is a new hotel and during the night we could not sleep because there was a loud noise coming from the airconditioning system. After a complaint they tried to solve the problem but they could not do anything about it. The manager of the hotel made his apologies for the noise and did not charge us for the room, offered us a free breakfast and late check- out and even had the hotel limousine drop us off at the airport!
