  At first glance you would be forgiven for thinking the hotel has nothing of worth surrounding it. But it actually has a giant shopping complex next door, plenty of good restaurants, the metro station is very close and there is quite a large park a little further away. The breakfast was also decent and the room had kettle facilities. Staff was also... wat mensen zeggen » pleasant, helpful and all spoke English. - Hotel is excellent in everyway and the facilities include some very fine detail, which makes the accommodation extremely good. I travel extensively and the Cosmopolite must be one of the better hotels that I have stayed in over the last 25 years. Well Done !!

Good location for city center and close enough that we could walk (but a long walk) to the Lavra and other sites overlooking the Dnipro.   The location was great with the hotel situated in a park, buses ran along the street in front of the hotel and the metro underground was about a 15 minute walk away and is quite cheap & fast travel. The hotel is lovely and is surrounded by a park. There is a Metro stop very close by so sightseeing in down town is convenient.   The location is absolutely the best, when visiting Kiev. Nice cityscape from the window, if your room is high enough. Everything is reachable by walking. The hotel is clean and pleasant, although economy rooms still have their ceramic tiles and doors from hotel's opening in 1961. But it's absolutely OK for the price asked.
