I can only describe our stay as absolutely..... flippin..... fabulous. The staff were welcoming from start to finish. The apartment was immaculate. The extras (champagne, beers, gin, vodka, soft drinks, chocolates, fruit basket, food to make a cooked breakfast, fresh bread and much, much more) were excellent. The bed was both huge (queen size) and extremely comfy. There was nothing we wanted or needed that wasn't there. Even a dishwasher and washing machine! Perfect.

The owners were welcoming and friendly and the accommodation was warm, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was fresh and plentiful - gluten-free bread was supplied specially for me, which was much appreciated. Had a great stay at Burswood Guest House, the attention to detail was first class, down to dressing gowns, slippers, chocolates and real napkins (not the usual paper serviettes) The breakfast was excellent a great selection of fruit and a lovelly cooked breakfast. What a fantastic place to stay! This was a two night treat weekend at the races for my father in law and did he get a treat, as we did also! It was like staying in a 5 star hotel. The breakfast was better than most top business hotels I have stayed in across Europe. The attention to detail in the bedrooms and the dining room was fantastic. George the owner is a lovely guy and the service is second to none.

Blown away by the plush, stylish apartment. We visited York with my parents & this 2-bedroom apartment suited us much better than two separate hotel rooms, as it provided a social space (kitchen, dining table, sofas and TV)
Incredibly convenient for walking to key places in York; train station, the Shambles, the Minster and, highlight of the trip for my husband, the National Rail Museum.
The lovely Heather at reception is also wonderfully helpful :)

This is the most beautiful guest house i have ever stayed in. Darren the owner was so welcoming and his home is amazingly clean and pristine. We stayed for my husbands 40th birthday and couldnt have found anywhere better. The bedroom was very warm and cosy with views out over york, the bed was very comfy and the bathroom well appointed.
