  I recently stayed in the Hilton in York and I have to be honest, I came away feeling ripped off. It nearly put me off trying the Hilton again. I tentatively booked the Double Tree for 2 nights - I have a sweet tooth and the warm cookie was a real incentive - and a lovely touch. I have got to say that I loved the hotel. I usually stay at the Matfen... wat mensen zeggen » Hall but I will always check the Hilton first now as everything about my room/stay was perfect. - I can honestly say that this was my best hotel experience ever! And I have traveled extensively in Asia and Europe. I stayed at the Double Tree at the Newcastle Airport because I had an early flight the next morning. My kids and I enjoyed an excellent meal at the restaurant before they headed back home to Durham. The staff were exceptionally friendly and professional. The room was perfect.

  we loved our stay at the hotel, there was nothing we could critise at all, the staff were particularly helpful and friendly, the room was superb, looking forward to returning in the near future. - Very comfortable room
