We booked at the last moment to attend a funeral and because it was so late, I was unable to book 3 on-suite rooms, one had an external toilet on another floor. Staff were very friendly, couldnt ask for any better, always very polite and well mannered. Was not noisy at all. Heating was always on so was nice and warm. Had Tv with built in DVD player. Room was cleaned daily and presentation was very good of towels and complimentary washing aids. All in all was one of the best B & B's we have stayed in. We will definitely be staying at the Seabreeze on our next trip to South Shields :)

This is our second trip staying at the Staybridge suites.The staff and the service they provide is truly excellent. They just cannot do enough in making sure your stay is enjoyable. Nothing is too much trouble for any staff member from receptionists to the cleaning staff to the staff providing breakfast. All are lovely people!

Everything about our stay was absolutely perfect and I wish we could have stayed longer. The staff was friendly and helpful. The suite comes fully equipped and was extremely up to date. I can't imagine wanting for anything. We were even able to do our laundry for free. We had a view of all the beautiful bridges from our sixth floor suite. Also, great location, the quay is just two blocks away and very romantic to walk and dine there.

Really warm welcome, quiet location, spotlessly clean compact single room with 32" TV and DVD player, top notch shampoo and soap in bathroom. Fresh fruit bowl laid out for late night snack in dining room. Bottled water, coffee/herbal teas in room, huge breakfast with veggie fry up option, fresh fruit, yoghurt, pastries, fruit juice, cereals, proper cafetiere strong coffee.
I love it when you go to a place that doesn't cut corners. everything's carefully figured out to make you stay comfortable

Hotel opposte park in quiet position 250 yds from blue flag beach - My room was a lovely, welcome surprise after a very long tiring journey. Really clean, bright and spacious. The facilities were perfect, the room actually has a small basic kitchen with a sink, kettle, microwave and fridge which was extremely handy and the staff were very friendly and attentive with out being intrusive. All in all I was very impressed.

I'll defo be using this Hotel again. - The staff were excellent and immediately upgraded my wife and I to another apartment when we had a minor problem with the smoke alarm. They were even understanding when I got home after our stay and discovered that I had inadvertantly packed one of their very small cushions (sent immediately back by recorded delivery). The apartments are ultra luxurious and we hope to go back soon.

The room was very pleasant and had a large bay window over looking the hotel grounds. The bed was very comfortable, a good nights sleep. The staff very friendly and attentive. Good choice at breakfast. Unfortunatley did not have evening meal as other arrangements, however resturant was busy.

My friend and myself were going to a funeral in Sunderland we got lost and phoned the owner and she came to pick us up in her car and she let us leave our cases at the house and gave us a room to change in to save us taking our cases to the cremetorium before we travelled back to Scotland.I would highly recommend staying there for value and friend

Mowbray Guest has a bright appearance with a lovely selection of 'artwork' to add colour and interest. It occupies a peaceful, location save the sea-gulls. Alison, and Keith at the weekends, are engaging generous hosts who put their guests first. They serve a really good breakfast and the facilities in the whole house functioned well. We'll certainly go back if in Sunderland again and recommend it as great value for money.
