  This hotel was advertised as a 3 star, but it was a better standard than most 4 star hotels we have stayed in recently. The staff were lovely. The food excellent, and the room was fantastic. The best value for money hotel we have stayed in. - The whole experience was absolutely excellent. Food was expensive butout of this world. Excellent friendly andefficient staff. - it was beautifully restored and had all the modern luxuries you expect, our walk in shower was amazing.   I booked the Anvil lodge last min as I was taking some customers out in Shifnal/Shrewsbury & wanted somewhere nice and central to the town. Like Ronseal, it did exactly what it said on the tin. The room was very comfortable, bed was good, Breakfast you could choose what you want. I forgot my uk charger and it was provided. I did enjoyed my stay.

  Relaxed warm helpful atmosphere and a genuine desire to make you feel welcome and at home. We made a big detour to spend a night at this hotel. Ready assistance with luggage partly compensated for the lack of a lift to the upper rooms. With a disabled wife, we appreciated being able to park close to the hotel entrance. The attention to detail, the relaxed environment, the picturesque setting and the warm enviting staff made this visit special. The food in the restaurant was top rate both at dinner and breakfast.   The Inn at Grinshill is a real gem. I was looking for somewhere near Shrewsbury as my wife and I wanted to visit the town. I saw the reviews for the Inn and booked on the strength of these. We were not disappointed. The standard of accommodation is exceptional, the massive beds extremely comfortable and the rooms beautifully furnished. Very high quality room. Antiques. Big high comfy bed. Really excellent breakfast. Evening meal was high quality. Generally pretty good value. we got the room for £70 last minute. 2 course meal was £20 but worth it. Big garden. Kitchen was brand new and in view to diners. in all a high quality place to go for a nights DB&B in a pretty village 20 min from Shrewsbury.
