This hotel never stops amazing me. I can not describe how brilliant the hotel is. We got married at the hotel a few years ago & returned to celebrate our anniversay. The hotel upgraded us to the honeymoon suite without us asking. They greeted us as we checked out and wished us "a happy anniversary" Its service that you rarely see anymore and just makes our memories go on & on. Thank you for treating us as 5* guests and making an amazing stay.

The family room was an excellent size with a powerful shower and three full size beds. The staff were very friendly. It was in a lovely location a few miles from Oakham. Can't fault the food, good honest home cooked food, extraemly good sized portions and very well cooked, not the usual "fine dining " served up in country inns, which is why we booked up at the pheasent, the mixed grill is a must!! not silly pots with drizzel on the plates but a good well presented dish.. well done!!

Really liked it , what stood out from most hotels was all the staff were young? But the most impressive thing was that these young staff were absolutely superb they had good personality s and were so efficient? 10 out of 10 for the whole team. -

Stayed two nights for a family wedding at the castle. The staff were friendly and very kind and helpful. The hotel is in keeping with the age and character of the building, but the showers/bathroom were very clean and modern. Stayed one night at the end of walking the Viking Way. We were in the stable block out the back of the main hotel. The room was spacious, quiet and clean, if a little aged. The hotel, bar and restaurant staff were all friendly, efficient and helpful. Ate in the hotel restaurant and the quality was excellent, with very reasonable prices. Breakfast was cooked to order.

High standard of service from everyone. The lack of formality and appreciation that we were straying there. Quality and variety of food was excellent from breakfast through afternoon tea and dinner. Our existing familiarity with the menus was one of the main reasons for staying. Room was comfortable and well serviced. We shall return to The Finchs
