  Ground floor twin room is ideal for people who can't do stairs. Convenient wet room shower en suite. Easy free parking and easy access to outside seating. Fantastic breakfast and very quiet but also very near the centre. Lots of eating places nearby. Very obliging host, lounge with books and games etc - We enjoyed our stay at the Horseshoe Guesth... wat mensen zeggen » ouse. Paul was a most accommodating host. He gave us lots of information about the surrounding areas. The breakfast was very nice and of good quality produce. The rooms were comfortable and clean.

  The setting is idyllic, with wonderful views across the lake. A great venue for lovers of nature & wildlife, and particularly good for birdwatching. The hotel is spotlessly clean, and staff were pleasant and attentive. Food excellent, and a wide selection available within a choice of menus. A most comfortable and relaxing stay, and would reco... wat mensen zeggen » mmend highly to others, and will certainly have no hesitation in revisiting in the future. - Friendly and efficient staff (we were given print out maps of the sites we enquired about which were really useful. We also liked the fact that restaurant and Bar food was available, both with a view on the lake - we only tested the Bar which was excellent. The room, with both shower and huge bath tub, extra large and firm bed - we had an excellent night sleep. Fantastic view on the lake.

  Very nice coaching inn with a long history and lots of character, a labyrinth of rooms and low beams. Conveniently located in the middle of Crickhowell (obvious once you spot it, but I managed to drive past it twice), with plenty of parking space through the old coach archway. The bed was very comfortable and I had an excellent supper in the bar -... wat mensen zeggen » it looked to be full at first sight but in fact it extends through several rooms so you should be able to find a table in one of them. - The Bear is a great place to stay. The staff were friendly and the welcome was warm. For an old building, the decoration is spot on and the attention to detail is impressive. We ate in the bar both evenings and had wonderful food. It was busy, but had a nice atmosphere. The breakfasts were very good too. I'd highly recommend to anyone staying in this part of Wales.

  The hotel was beautifully decorated for Christmas and the whole place was so warm, welcoming and comfortable. We'd chosen a bedroom -Cathedral - in the converted stable and it was lovely. The food was excellent and beautifully presented. A memorable stay in an idyllicl location. - lovely old house, Fabulous staff. excellent food.

  The owners were fabulous. Even though we arrived very late they still gave us the full gourmet restaurant service and their friendliness and interest made us feel that we were staying with old friends. - quiet, very nice view, lovely people, very good restaurant
