  A real 5-star experience. The hotel excels at every opportunity. Staff are courteous and friendly. The building is amazing, the decor very pleasing. Our room was huge with everything we could need. So glad we chose to dine in the restaurant and relax after dinner in the Whisky Room where service and selection were excellent.   We stayed as a family with 2 young children, in the therwell suite. Gorgeous room, had a connecting room for the children. Loved the attention to detail, teddies in the room & books and games. Two hampers were provided if you didn't fancy a cooked breakfast, these had cereals, jam and porridge in. We ate in the restaurant and the food was lo... wat mensen zeggen » vely. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the reviews helped me pick the black horse , and it lived up to my expectations. Would love to stay again ! - We received a fantastic greeting and, throughout our visit, excellent personal service from all the staff that we encountered. The standard of the evening meal, food and service, was very high to the point that we would definitely see this hotel as a 'destination' for a future visit. The breakfast hamper delivered to the room was a novel but very good touch.

  We absolutely loved the hotel, the Restaraunt, the whole atmosphere was lovely, relaxing and yet so professional!! The proprietors were wonderful! I found out my little boy who was away with my parents was ill - Sue went straight on the Internet and printed me a fact sheet off of his illness, to put my mind at ease! The quality of everything was excellent, with superb attent - We couldn't fault our stay at grassington house. The room was beautiful, as was the hotel itself. The staff were welcoming and attentive, we felt very well looked after! The food in the restaurant was absolutely fabulous...we enjoy eating out & this was one of the best meals we've had in a while. A thoroughly relaxing stay in a gorgeous place.

The decoration and finish of the bedroom and the bathroom was of the highest standard.   Everything! We truly felt that we were invited guests. From the moment we arrived Barry did everything he could, and then some, to ensure we were welcome. The personal welcome note, to the fire in the library with cocktails allowed us to unwind from our travels. We were left with the feeling of wanting to linger, to savor the experience. To spend a weeken - Everything about my stay at Goldsborough Hall was what I had hoped for and beyond what I expected. The house is beautiful and set in lovely grounds which are well worth a walk around. The room was spacious, comfortable and immaculate. The staff and owners were friendly and curteous. Every moment I was there I felt welcome and also that my satisfaction was the priority. Goldsborough Hall provides the country manor stay that you think you can only dream of. I will definitely be returning.

Breakfast was very special being the only time you got to meet and converse with other guests about their previous day's experiences etc and the food was really good!!! Breakfast was excellent - a real farmhouse breakfast and relaxed. It was lovely to sit with the other guests round a big farmhouse table. Unfortunately we were in a rush as we were off to a christening but we would have loved to have lingered longer. The room was really well appointed and the bed comfortable - we both had an excellent night

Our room was in the attic with a lovely view to the Minster.We could sit in our bed with our morning cuppa and view across.Very clean room and a huge comfortable bed. A nice size bathroom. Cellar bar was good for a meal, or a cosy night cap after visiting the city. Staff friendly and helpful with a smile! Everything was so - The room was glorious - very comfortable, good in size, view of the Minster from bed, spa bath, radio with iPod docking station, tv with dvd player, excellent coffee and tea facilities in te room... Simply all you need for a relaxing break away from it all. The staff were super friendly and very helpful. The breakfast was very nice and the cellar bar with te beautiful outside area on the forecourt of the hotel was a lovely afternoon treat. The location couldn't be more central!

Wide choice of breakfast goodies the, cooked options where superb. Staying here was a real pleasure, a rare combination of wonderful hosts and an exceptional house
