  The older gentleman working in the reception was a perfect example of hospitality and he also seemed to have a great knowledge of Edinburgh, which he shared generously. As for the room itself, it was very quiet, spacious and had a cool and modern design. Great location for the Playhouse Theatre and surrounding restaurants/bars. Overall I would recommend the Calton Apartments.   We had a fabulous one night stay at The Chester Residence. Staff were very helpful and the suite was fantastic. All rooms were very spacious (we had the 1st floor suite) and the location was only about 5 minutes walk from Haymarket and Princes Street. This was our first stay in a serviced appartment and we would highly recommend a stay here, beats ... wat mensen zeggen » a stuffy hotel any day of the week! - The location was fairly close to the center of the city (20 minute walk). The neighborhood was quiet and clean. Flat screen tv with multiple satellite channels. Kitchen well stocked daily with breakfast/snack items. Reception/housekeeping more than helpful and friendly. Would highly recommend to anyone and return to this hotel without a doubt.

  We stayed at 2 bedroomed apartment at 7 Johnson terrace! Location, location, location - castle, royal mile & grassmarket on you door step! In easy reach of local bars & restaurants plus sightseeing bus stop 2 minute walk away! The apartment itself was lovely! Relaxing living room & comfy beds! Very thoughtful bottle of wine left for u... wat mensen zeggen » s! Derek was lovely and also allowed us to leave our luggage at the office round the corner til we got our train home! Would definitely recommend for - We stayed in apartment 11 on the third floor. The view was incredible of St. Giles Cathedral. The location superb two blocks from the castle. Many restaurants and shops on the royal mile. Many tourists but inside the apartment calm and relaxing. A bit of noise at night as shops and restaurants were cleaning up and ghost tours ending but by 11pm all went quiet until about 7am. We enjoyed our stay as it was close to everything including Waverly train station.

  Everything about this hotel was incredible - we found ourselves wanting to stay longer - Gaia at the front desk reception was so very helpful, friendly and enthusiastic about the property. Our room was spacious and included anything one might need for extended stays. The "Roxburgh's Court Close" location was not as difficult to find and ac - The apartment space was luxurious, comfortable, very well thought out and utilised - with modern open-plan living in mind, balcony with fold back door to seamlessly bring the outside space in, serviced to a high standard daily; friendly and very helpful staff. Very central location at the 'Lawnmarket' on the 'Royal Mile' in the Old Town, in the shadow of the castle itself - great for sight- seeing most within a very short walking distance and only a short bus ride to others.

  Arrived into hotel after a long flight late at night with 2 young children. Nicole was so genuinely helpful and caring and got all our check-in smoothly done. All our tiredness & tension was alleviated and had a great nights sleep. Next morning at breakfast Karen took care of us brilliantly - nothing was too much bother. Will use this hotel again - even if I'm not using the airport!! - A bit pricy for a generic hotel without any character, but clear and comfortable. Convenient for airlines connection..about a 8 pound cabride (10 minutes) from airport. Restaurant generic, American style, very busy. Nothing else around (in an industrial park) so no other eating options. Check with attendant to make sure no groups are booked for dinner, otherwise no dinner for you!

  The apartments are spacious and had everything we could need. The staff were extremely friendly and very accommodating. We arrived early in Edinburgh and they allowed us to check-in 4 hours early. The city pads are very well located. There is a Sainsburys local about 1 minute walk away, as well as some cafes like Peter's Yard and Starbucks. I will definitely be booking the city pads again when w - Brilliant location for the Fringe festival and town etc. The bed was so comfortable and duvet and pillows gorgeous - a real treat.   Seriously, you could not get a better location, it really is in the heart of the royal mile and only 5 mins walk from the railway station. The staff are the most helpful, friendly and accommodating people - nothing was any trouble, they let us check in to the apartment earlier and let us check out later (leaving our cases in their premises both ti... wat mensen zeggen » mes while we shopped, etc). Considering there were 5 girls sharing one bathroom & all getting ready to get out there was never any steam in the ba - The two brothers who own the apartment were so helpful and accommodating. They provided information about where to eat, what to see. From the moment we arrived they made us feel very welcomed. We arrived early before check-in so they moved our apt. Up the line to be prepped. They also stored our bags so we could enjoy the afternoon.
